ParticipantHi, Spencer. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to answer your questions about the upgrade.
1. The functionality that’s built-in is for the featured image to display in the event tooltip on hover. We do have a tutorial that will display images in the List Widget if that’s helpful: https://theeventscalendar.com/adding-post-thumbnails-to-the-events-list-widget/.
2. The events are custom post types and not in a database of their own. As such, it would probably be challenging to set up syncing between two sites.
Hope this helps you making your decision!

ParticipantHi, semacore. It sounds like you were able to get TEC installed, so I’m glad that’s taken care of.
You’re encouraged to modify any of the templates we use. Please see the Themer’s Guide linked in the right sidebar for complete information about that.
As far as discounts go, that would be something you’d take care of in the WooCommerce Coupons configuration. If you would like help with that, the WooCommerce Ninjas would be the authoritative source.
Also, if you’d like to pursue your issues further, please start a new topic. I am eager to help you get up and running, and I also need to ensure that magisterludi who started this thread doesn’t get lost along the way.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi, Tim. Thanks for asking about the WooCommerce Tickets add-on functionality.
WooCommerce Tickets is basically an add-on facilitating integration between The Events Calendar and WooCommerce. As such, those issue regarding checkout may be better answered by WooCommmerce.
That said, WooCommerce does support discounts and customer registration. It may be a good idea to install WooCommerce (free) and play around with it so that you get a feel for what is possible.
Sorry I don’t have a more definitive answer for you. Please let me know if anything else comes up in your testing.

ParticipantHi, Ruben. Thanks for considering The Events Calendar for you site!
The events in TEC are custom post types that use the universal tags, but have a separate taxonomy for categories. Providing you’re sourcing the Related info from tags, it should definitely work.
Let us know if there are any other questions we can answer to help you make your decision easier.

ParticipantHi, rickiejosen. I’ve moved your thread to the WooCommerce Tickets paid forum so that you can get support for this.
For troubleshooting something like this, it’s helpful to get a baseline of where you are now. Which versions of WooCommerce, WooCommerce Tickets, and The Events Calendar are you running? Have you tried testing in one of the default WordPress themes, e.g. Twenty Twelve?
Also, when I test at the page specified, it looks like everything is in order, i.e. the ticket meta box appears on the event page, and I’m able to add it to the cart. Would you mind explaining further what the issue is that you’d like help with?

ParticipantHi, heatherlander. This is a common failing of the Facebook API. Really, Facebook wants you to sign up for something as the user, not as a group. Even big services like Twitter have a limitation like this.
To configure Facebook Events, you’ll need an app secret and an app key, which are generated by Facebook, and really require you to be logged in with a personal/profile account to generate.
Have you had a chance to go through our Primer? If so, at what point did you get stuck?

ParticipantHi, kineticbuzz. I’ve definitely heard of this issue before, but we never got to the bottom of it, definitively.
First, I’d like to ask you about your site’s configuration. Would you mind confirming that you did do your testing with one of the default WordPress themes, e.g. Twenty Twelve?
Second, if you wouldn’t mind waiting a little bit longer, we’re expecting the release of our next maintenance update of TEC and WooCommerce Tickets. If we could hold off on further troubleshooting until after you’ve had time to upgrade that could save us both time in the long run.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi, Arnau. Unfortunately, for now each event is separate, and as such, each ticket is separate.
Your best bet would probably be to create something with the tickets category in the WooCommerce shop. Be aware that Tickets are hidden in the shop by default, so you’ll need to change the visibility to make them show up.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHi, callanwolde. Sorry to hear you’re having an issue with the emails.
Since many times similiar symptoms arise from different root causes, we’d appreciate it if you would start a new topic with your request. That way we can make sure both you and dremaster are taken care of.
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks, artesans. We’ll plan to get back to you after the release goes out. Your patience is appreciated!
