Can't get any events to import

I’ve just bought the add-on to go with the PRO calendar and it’s not working. I’ve tried adding some usernames and scheduling/manually adding the events but no dice. I then tried adding some event ideas but I just get the following errors:

“The following errors have occurred:

Either the event with ID 673856235977699 does not exist, is marked as private on Facebook or we couldn’t reach the Facebook API
Please note that as a result, no events were successfully imported.

The following errors have occurred during importing images:

A valid URL was not provided.
Please note that this does not effect importing of associated events unless noted.”

I’m developing the site locally with WAMP. Please don’t tell me this plugin doesn’t work locally!

Hi maze,

I want to make sure I understand your setup. When you say you are developing locally, do you have an active Internet connection? You would need to be online to pull information from Facebook. (You know I had to ask.)

Assuming that you are online, then it’s possible it could be a limitation of the Facebook API. There are some content restrictions that we’ve come across such as cigar bars, gentlemen’s clubs, and the like that have been unable to import their events. As you can imagine, the Facebook API is not something we have control over.

Could you try importing an event from a non-bar establishment? I’d like to hear one way or the other, if that worked for you.
