GuestHi there, we’re a pretty active organisation in the Netherlands and we’re looking in to maybe using Events Calendar Pro on our website. I’d like to know however if events added to the calendar will be accessible to show up in ‘related items’ underneath blog posts on our website.
For instance, it would be nice if under an article by someone who’ll give a couple of lectures, there would be the possibility to link it to the lectures events in the calendar using tags. Will this work?

ParticipantHi, Ruben. Thanks for considering The Events Calendar for you site!
The events in TEC are custom post types that use the universal tags, but have a separate taxonomy for categories. Providing you’re sourcing the Related info from tags, it should definitely work.
Let us know if there are any other questions we can answer to help you make your decision easier.

GuestThanks, Kelly! I have two more questions:
1st: I noticed that the small calendar widget sometimes streches vertically over two lines of text (the ‘forward-arrow’ stands one line below the ‘back-arrow’) Can this be fixed?
2nd: Will there be a feature providing the ability to display small thumbnail pictures of the events with featured images within the upcoming events widget?October 1, 2013 at 1:21 pm #68639Kelly
ParticipantHi, Ruben. I’m unfamiliar with the situation you describe with the widget being on two lines. I would guess that’s a function of the sidebar width or theme font. You would be able to modify this through some sort of custom CSS (depending on the cause). For information on Events Calendar PRO customization using overrides, please check out our Themer’s Guide for The Events Calendar, linked at right.
I don’t know of any plans to extend the calendar widget to include images, the way our month view does. If that’s something you’re interested in, we’d be grateful if you’d check out our User Voice page: https://tribe.uservoice.com/
Hope that helps!
