MemberHi kkwadrat – please do read up on theming The Events Calendar first of all.
The basic strategy I’d recommend here would be the override and customize the month/single-event.php template: you should be able to identify a div element with a class attribute of tribe-events-tooltip – you could simply delete this and the tooltips will no longer be present.
Hope that helps!

MemberI visited your site and the main events page did indeed look rather odd first time round. Refreshing seemed to resolve the layout issues and upon visiting in a different browser / with a different machine it looked fine, too. So it certainly does seem to be sporadic at some level.
p.s. my hosting company suggested thta i delete all other themes to avoid security risk so i have NOT tested the theme on the default 2011 theme as i donβt have it and not sure exactly where i would grab it.
Ideally we would confirm whether or not this strange behaviour does indeed stem from your theme so although you certainly shouldn’t have unused code lying around on your server I think it would be worth installing Twenty Twelve or Twenty Thirteen and testing with those.
You can obtain default themes like those from the WordPress themes directory and indeed it’s possible to search it directly from the themes admin page.

MemberWe are indeed aware of this and are just in the process of testing our fix for the problem – so this should be resolved in one of our forthcoming maintenance releases π
Sorry for any inconvenience this causes in the meantime.

MemberThis definitely looks like a bug and we’ll aim to fix it as soon as we can (realistically this may not make the very next maintenance release, however). Apologies for any inconvenience in the meantime – and thanks for reporting this!
Barry
MemberGlad you figured out a solution π and we’ll hopefully have a chance to investigate and make any changes that might be necessary in our codebase as we prepare our next few maintenance releases.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread for the time being, though. Thanks!

MemberThanks. So the problem at least with one organizer page was that the URL slug was empty. I’m unsure what would cause that to happen, but it can manually be corrected via the organizer (or venue) editor.
Is this problem with venue/organizer slugs happening every time you import an event from Facebook? If you correct the venues/organizers that currently have missing permalink slugs, then try to import a new Facebook events (again without having any other plugins active and sticking with a default theme) does the same problem recur?

MemberRegrettably I don’t think we’re going to be able to invest more time in investigating this one. I do appreciate your position is a difficult one but to dig in and fix this will quite likely involve more time than realistically we can allocate for such a theme-specific issue.
Sorry we can’t do more on this occasion.
Barry
MemberOK, that’s unfortunate. I have filed a bug report and we’ll definitely look into resolving this – in the interim I’m afraid you’ll need to devise a different workaround.
Barry
MemberNo problem!
Barry
MemberIf you can hang tight a little longer we’ll get back to you as soon as we’ve investigated further.

MemberHi John.
As a temporary workaround for this problem can you try adding this snippet to your theme’s functions.php file? That should resolve this problem and of course we’ll aim to roll out a substantive fix in one of the next few maintenance releases.
Hope that helps!

MemberHi Antonia: as with your other thread I’m going to close this one as it’s been sitting dormant for a while now. If there’s anything else we can help with please do feel free to create new threads as required.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi everyone: it’s been a while without hearing back from you so we’re going to assume you’re all good here and will close this thread. Of course if you need any further help please don’t hesitate to let us know by creating a new thread.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberThanks for your patience actualcafe: can I confirm that since creating this thread you have updated to version 3.1 (of both our plugins) and let me know if that has made any difference here?
Thanks!
