MemberI believe you’re not the only one to suggest this but, at least at this point in time, that isn’t something the plugin supports. Please do add your voice over on our UserVoice page though as it’s certainly a feature request we’re willing to consider 🙂
To do something right now, however, I’m afraid you’d really need to dive it and build your own customization.

MemberIt works with the theme without customization locally. Online, it doesnt with the custo.
Thanks for clarifying – I was slightly confused on that point so that really helps.
The thing is I don’t really know what customizations these are but I suspect we aren’t going to be able to offer a great deal of support here – customizations are very much something that you have to maintain. We could definitely provide you with a list of freelancers who could potentially provide further assistance, though?

MemberHi elementalhealing. Does the second problem resolve itself if you remove that code?
Barry
MemberHi yaguare,
Can you try adding these CSS rules either to the bottom of your stylesheet, some area your theme makes available for custom CSS or else a custom tribe-events.css stylesheet?
Does that help at all?
Barry
MemberDefinitely – let’s wait for that fix to arrive as that should hopefully, at a stroke, solve both aspects of this problem.

MemberIt is indeed a little slow – you seem to have a pretty full calendar with a high number of recurring events. Can you provide any rough figures as to how many events are currently on the system and how many/what percentage might be recurring in nature?
What about the hosting environment – can you provide any details on that front?
We are working progressively toward creating a leaner machine under the hood, you’ll be pleased to know, right now though good use of caching (including query caching) is definitely a worthy strategy.

MemberAre there any notable differences between your dev and production sites that you’re aware of?
Barry
MemberThat’s definitely strange and though there have been some issues recently that seem similar in nature on first glance this seems subtly different and I cannot replicate it.
I note you tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme before creating this thread: did that have any bearing on this issue?
Barry
MemberGreat – so just to be sure at least in the context of this thread and the grid layout you’re all sorted?

MemberHi jskk123 – can I confirm you’re all set here? Or do you need further support? Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi pdelite, sorry for the delay however if I can draw your attention to the forum overview sticky it can take 24-48hrs before we reply to requests for support, not counting weekends. We also have a number of different team members each with slightly different focuses and so it’s not always the case that we can rigidly answer each forum thread in strict order of when they were posted.
The 404 issue is one we’re aware of and beyond the fixes I think you have already found on the forum further work has been done to tackle this and should be available as of our next maintenance release, due shortly.
Hope that helps – and thanks for your continued support and patience 🙂
Barry
MemberNo problem, thank you for your support and patience. I’ll go ahead and close this thread, of course if there is anything else we can help with please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed 🙂

MemberExcellent!
Barry
MemberThe main events calendar can be set to show only a specific category, so you could for example link to different categories, something like:
* http://wpshindig.com/events/category/wordpress-meetups/
* http://wpshindig.com/events/category/business/community-events/
* …etc…Similarly, you could embed the calendar widget on specific pages and set it to display only a given category. As another user points out we can’t provide too much help with custom solutions but there’s lots of avenues to explore here 🙂

MemberThanks for sharing Paul, looks fantastic. So is that based on using the calendar widget?
