MemberOK, unfortunately this is sounding like a very specific problem and not one I’m seeing reported elsewhere (again, I feel Oliver’s issue is a different one). Can you link to your new WordPress installation that you set up to test this?
Barry
MemberStrange – if I do a search for this thread it all seems to work as expected. Perhaps a one off? Certainly let us know if this continues.
Regarding the original issue my impression is we’re all good so I’ll close this thread – but of course if you hit any other issues or have further questions please do feel free to create new threads as required.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi Karen, please add 70.67.67.42 – thanks!
Barry
MemberSure, just let us know as and when you wish to progress things.
Barry
MemberHi Denise: unfortunately not, 3.2 was already in the final stages of preparation when this was logged. Right now we are aiming for the next maintenance build.
Barry
MemberHi Denise,
Just wanted to add that this should be fixed as of the next maintenance release. If you feel comfortable doing so then as a temporary workaround you can replace the-events-calendar/lib/tribe-template-factory.class.php with this alternative version.
Though such a change will be wiped when next you update, the next update ought to incorporate the same fix so there should be no problem. I hope that helps – and apologies for the inconvenience.

MemberGreat that you figured out a solution there.
We do indeed have a fix that should arrive in the next maintenance release: if you are happy with Antonio’s temporary fix (thanks Antonio!) that should be fine, alternatively you can replace the-events-calendar/lib/tribe-template-factory.class.php with this alternative version of the same file.
That change (as with Antonio’s) will be wiped when the next update takes place, but of course a substantive fix ought to be in place at that point.
Sorry once again for the inconvenience.

MemberThere certainly looks to be a problem on our side here – we’re going to look into this and aim to get a fix in place in an upcoming maintenance release.
Thanks for your patience so far – it sounds like you’ve got a decent workaround in place and I’d recommend continuing to use that until a substantive fix arrives.
Barry
MemberI think you’re right Denise, bear with us a little longer while we investigate.

MemberHi brentmorton,
I can certainly see what you mean. However, I’m not sure quite how much control we can exercise over this as consistency across email clients, especially for things like this, is a tricky area indeed.
What I’ll do though is check in with some of the team members who worked on this and see if this is something we can build and improve upon.
Thanks for your patience!
Barry
MemberExcellent, glad you figured things out and great that you acquired some hands on experiencing of theming The Events Calendar along the way 🙂
I’ll go ahead and close this thread – of course if there is anything else please don’t hesitate to create new ones as needed.
Barry
MemberSure thing 🙂

MemberHi africaatlanta, this unfortunately isn’t something where we can readily offer up a quick snippet. However, we can see the merit in what you’re trying to do and have logged this as a feature request: the team will look into the possibility of making this configurable, or at least meshing with the WordPress date time settings, and we’ll potentially see it in a future release.
Barry
MemberI’m not sure what would stop you from browsing back to this thread, but definitely let us know if you continue to hit difficulties on that front.
I imagine I’d change “Events page” in the code to the name of the actual page.
Please do modify to suit!
