    Hi!

My suspicion is this is a problem with your theme.

The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO expects a number of common conventions to be followed, including the use of WordPress’s standard body_class() function (normally within the header.php template, though it can be located elsewhere). Based on a look at the HTML source being generated that doesn’t seem to be present.

What I’d recommend here is touching base with the theme author and asking them to confirm if this is indeed the case and if they can help you add it.

I hope that helps – let us know how you get on 🙂

    Hi!

This is not covered directly by our plugin – rather it derives from the fact that WooCommerce Tickets builds on top of WooCommerce itself, which provides a powerful range of selling tools (including promotions/discounts).

There is some great documentation on WooCommerce over on the WooThemes site: http://docs.woothemes.com/documentation/plugins/woocommerce/

    Does that help?

    Hi, great questions!

Duplicating events is not something that is supported out of the box (but please do consider posting requests for any features you would like to see in the future) however you may be able to leverage another plugin for this – I believe there may be a few out there that can assist with post duplication and that also work with custom post types, such as events.

Also, I am offering an online course that spans over 4 weeks but are only 3 hour sessions. Should I create 1 event for the full offering and then 4 separate events for each time slot?

You certainly could do, or perhaps you could have two tickets per session (one acting as a session pass, the other entry to all sessions). Right now though recurring events are not supported and nor is a concept of pooled inventory – so if limiting the total number of attendees is a concern you may be hitting up against limitations of the plugin.

Does that help, or at least explain the current situation a little more?

Hi! Do you still need help with this one? I took a look at event/dreamwavehcm but it looks like the issue in your screenshot has been resolved.

    Let us know!

    Hi Marcus,

So you’d need to do a little customization work and reading through The Themer’s Guide is a great idea if you have not already done so, for a high level view of some of the basics.

To the specific issue at hand, though not something Modern Tribe officially supports, this library of helpers and this related recipe (for showing sold out notices – but you could of course adapt it to your own situation) should show the basic strategy for doing something like you are asking about. You are more than welcome to simply rip out the code you need and use it within your own solution, you don’t actually need to use that library.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi!

It looks like your theme (or perhaps another plugin) is also setting up Google Maps, resulting in this error:

Warning: you have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.

A good strategy is to determine which component is also making use of Google Maps (and so our standard troubleshooting steps of deactivating other plugins and switching theme are worthwhile here, even or ideally done on a separate test site). From there, one basic strategy you could employ would be to disable or dequeue those scripts when on event pages.

The process for doing so will vary depending on what else is adding Google Maps support and how it is being added. Assuming it follows regular WP conventions though you could conditionally check if the page is an event page and dequeue it from there, something like this (just an example to show the basic concept, it won’t work “as is”).

You would need to determine what else is adding Google Maps support and determine the script handle they are using (and indeed the point in time at which they add the script) to complete this solution, so touching base with the relevant plugin/theme author isn’t a bad idea.

    Does that help?

No problem – I’ll close this thread but if it crops up again or there is anything else we can help with please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks!

So at this point can you clarify the URL for the main events page?

Is it hosted at cdn.ourhost.ca? If so, please do note that I cannot access that URL. If it is in fact at the URL posted when you opened the thread, which I can access, then I cannot see this problem either in Firefox or Chrome (and my colleague cannot see it either – and additionally tested it out in Safari).

    Let me know!

Sure – the best approach is to upload it to a service like Dropbox or Droplr (or equivalent) … or even just to your WordPress site – then share the link. We appreciate you may not wish to post a link to a commercial theme publicly, but do remember you can use the private reply feature.

    Thanks!

I’m sorry that you’re in this position and wish we could do more. Unfortunately (primarily due to the sheer number of support requests we receive and need to assist with), we just can’t get into building fixes for other products. I’ll go ahead and close this but I hope you have an opportunity to work with us and our products again soon, perhaps in combination with a different theme.

    Regards,

@wanganuiedc – it’s probably a different problem in your case then. Can I ask you to post a new thread of your own? One of the team will be only too happy to help.

    @gatewaydevelopment
    – when I visit the URL you shared (when you opened this thread) and navigate to the main events page the view selector appears to function as expected. Can you clarify if you have since resolved this or provide further details to help me see the problem in situ?

    Thanks!
