No means that is built in, I’m afraid – but we’re always open to new feature requests ๐Ÿ™‚

That apart, if something like one of our widgets – the list widget perhaps – would fit the bill here you could embed it within a page or post using this unofficial plugin.

Would that work for you here?

    Hi – I’m sorry you’re hitting difficulties.

Can you describe exactly what you’re facing here – does it only apply to events imported from Facebook, for instance, and do they show up in the Facebook Import screen as having been successfully imported already if so?

    hanks!

I’m sorry you’re hitting difficulties here.

I don’t know why Press Permit would be impacting in this way under the conditions you’ve described … I think in this situation seeking some assistance from the author/authors of that plugin or even just getting some background on when and why it might intervene could be useful.

Let me know what you discover ๐Ÿ™‚

Ordinarily changes to template overrides would effectively be instant. Is it possible you are using a caching plugin (or might opcode caching be enabled) and could that be impacting here?

    Great question.

Ordinarily, WordPress tries to add a canonical link during the wp_head action. What Events Calendar PRO does – if a single, recurring event is being viewed – is remove WordPress’s callback and substitute its own callback (you can see the relevant code here and here).

So there’s no reason you couldn’t add your own code along similar lines – knocking out our callback that generates the canonical link in those conditions and replacing it with your own – of course if AIOSEO also has logic that impacts here you would need to carefully workaround both systems.

    I hope that helps ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m sorry you’ve had such a hard time customizing things.

If you want to seek a refund, please email us at pro [at] tri [dot] be and include a link to this thread and also a copy of your purchase receipt – one of the team will look into it from there.

You should, in my opinion, clarify that most of the customizations require action on the code.

If you want to change how something (like a widget) works and add items like featured images then yes, you do need to do some amount of work at ‘code level’ – generally speaking we’ve found most users are happy and able to do this and if you need help, we can do our best to offer guidance.ย There are plenty of customizations that can be made via our settings pages, though – from the number of events that appear on list view to the inclusion (or exclusion) of recurring events in those lists.

We do realize that that may not be sufficient for everyone, though, and if you feel a refund is going to be the best course of action in your case then certainly to send us an email as described above.

Hi again, Jon: can you confirm A) if you currently have a large number of recurring events – and if any might actually be duplicates – and B) if you make much use of the hide from upcoming events list option?

We’re sorry for the difficulties here: we’re looking into this and appreciate you providing both the slow query snippet and the information about your hosting provider. As soon as we’ve got something substantive to report we’ll get back to you.

Hi – I’m sorry you’re hitting problems, here.

There may not be too much we can do here since Page Builder is a third party plugin, but can you confirm if all widgets are affected and appear to be wrapped in this shortcode – or if it is just event-related widgets?

i just updated ECP and i believe this began occurring subsequent to that

Does (temporarily) deactivating Events Calendar PRO resolve the problem?

    Thanks!

Yes, completely possible – though it would certainly require some amount of customization work.

The above resources should give you an idea of what’s involved when you want to make changes and how to do them safely – it’s well worth taking some time to play about with things on a test site and get a feel for the system that way.

    I hope that helps ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi ๐Ÿ™‚

Numerous users have reported issues when integrating with Headway and, right now, it’s not a theme we can offer a great deal of support for. We can certainly leave this open and see what other members of the community think – perhaps though you could add a brief summary of the problems you are hitting here?

    Thanks!

    Hi!

If that is the only event on the system – that’s to say, there are zero published upcoming events – then yes, that view will return a 404 status. Some themes may additionally switch layouts under those conditions, but The Events Calendar itself still tries to present the list of events (albeit the list is empty) and simply adds a 404 status to support the fact that it doesn’t contain anything.

Does that clarify things at all/make sense in your scenario?

    Hi – interesting question!

We can’t help too much with custom dev issues like this, but probably a good starting point is to amend the Tribe_Advance_Minical::advance_minical() method. Since this receives information about the actual widget instance you can probably either add some custom rules in there to limit the instances it will take effect on (you might even be able to test against the actual Widget Logic rule in place for that widget).

I hope that helps – good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi!

    Sorry you’re hitting problems, here.

Though it looks like you’ve already conducted some troubleshooting work the best thing initially would be to complete this: in addition to deactivating all other plugins, please also switch to a default, unmodified theme – do you still hit this problem under those conditions?

    Thanks!

    Hi!

Ideally we like to stick to one issue per thread. Let’s look at the featured image problem here in this thread and if you could create a fresh thread for the problem with the tutorial someone will help you as soon as they can ๐Ÿ™‚

The first: the โ€œfeatured imageโ€ meta box of event-pro administration panel is not present, so I can not use the photo view. Iโ€™ve already checked, it is not a conflict of plugins.

Can you confirm if you also tried switching theme? If you switch to Twenty Twelve/Thirteen for instance and find you can then add featured images it’s quite likely the problem is that your theme only adds featured image (or “post thumbnail”) support for a limited set of post types – but we should confirm that is the problem before proceeding.

Let me know what you discover!
