ParticipantHey there,
When my event passes, it apparently multiplies. How do I change the settings so this does not happen.
Thanks in advance!

MemberHi – I’m sorry you’re hitting difficulties.
Can you describe exactly what you’re facing here – does it only apply to events imported from Facebook, for instance, and do they show up in the Facebook Import screen as having been successfully imported already if so?
hanks!

ParticipantYes, so they’re fine once they automatically import, but once the event has passed, it multiplies
http://www.tavernonbroadway.com/events/ (keep in mind I already fixed the 4/11-12 events, I just don’t want to keep going in every week)
:-p
Thanks!April 23, 2014 at 11:20 am #140605billashton
ParticipantI have the same issue, they told me that they can not duplicate it on there end so it is hard to fix. Hopefully with more people experiencing the problem they will figure it out.

MemberThanks Bill – looking at your other thread though it does look though like this turned out to be the result of a conflict with your theme:
I use the headway drag and drop theme, I changed it to twenty twelve and tested it. It worked like it was suppose to on twenty twelve. So it is for sure something with my theme.
Thanks for you help
kris10haley: it’s not impossible it’s a conflict in your case, too. The basis of determining this is to deactivate all other plugins and use a default and completely unmodified theme and see if the same problem occurs.
Of course, given the nature of the problem, leaving your live site in that state may not be feasible or may simply be an unattractive proposition 🙂 … but if perhaps you could set up a test site (could be as simple as a fresh installation of WordPress in a subdirectory) and see if you can replicate the issue there – when running only our plugins – that would be great.
If you find everything is fine under those conditions, start adding the same stack of plugins/theme that you have on your live site – by a process of trial and error we should be able to find the culprit.
Is that viable here?

ParticipantI am still experiencing issues–but I’m going to have to wait another week on this until they replicate again (we only have weekend events coming in from facebook). I am setting a calendar item to disable most of the plugins on Friday then reinstate after the weekend and will follow up then!

ParticipantI am having this issue as well and was disappointed to see it was not addressed in the latest update, as many people seem to be experiencing this.

Right now though we are only notified when the original poster updates the thread: for that reason it is always best to create a new thread of your own. With that in mind and also because quite a lot of time has passed at this point I will go ahead and close the thread – but if you still need help please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed.
