If you want to seek a refund, please email us at pro [at] tri [dot] be and include a link to this thread and also a copy of your purchase receipt – one of the team will look into it from there.
You should, in my opinion, clarify that most of the customizations require action on the code.
If you want to change how something (like a widget) works and add items like featured images then yes, you do need to do some amount of work at ‘code level’ – generally speaking we’ve found most users are happy and able to do this and if you need help, we can do our best to offer guidance. There are plenty of customizations that can be made via our settings pages, though – from the number of events that appear on list view to the inclusion (or exclusion) of recurring events in those lists.
We do realize that that may not be sufficient for everyone, though, and if you feel a refund is going to be the best course of action in your case then certainly to send us an email as described above.
