    Can you clarify which map you are referring to – is it the main map view, or the maps that show on single event/venue pages?

    Hi Lars,

    I don’t see the same thing locally and we’ve looked at a few sites where we know folks have updated to 3.6 but this doesn’t seem to be a general problem.

    I realize you’ve implemented a number of customizations and I see you took the time to try our regular troubleshooting steps which is fantastic. Can you confirm what the outcome of those tests was? With only a default theme – and so no template overrides – and no other plugins but The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO did you still experience this or were you able to zero in on any conflicts?

    Hi Lars,

    I see you already tested this out with no other plugins running and just a default theme: can you confirm which default theme that was and if you experienced the same issue under those conditions?

    OK – that would make sense to some degree as Community Events does have an option to redirect folks out of the admin environment. Are you able to get in there with Community activated (or enter the admin environment and then reactivate Community) or is that proving impossible?

    If you can, can you visit Events > Settings > Community and check out the block access to WordPress dashboard setting – what is it set to and which roles are currently blocked?

    Sure – well for that other issue please check out this thread/fix – we’re aware of it and will get a fix out as quickly as we can 🙂

    With regards to the ticket form, given your start/end sale dates you shouldn’t expect it to be visible until 8am on June 1st as that’s what you’ve specified there – does that clarify things?

    Yes, please do open a new thread for that other issue (with the comma) – I suspect that’s a fairly easy CSS issue we can help you with.

    @onelittlemouse: right now we haven’t had a chance to assess that and make a final decision. At the very latest it would be in the next maintenance release (and so applying the above fix now would be the ideal course of action – and also would be “safe” since it wouldn’t change even if for some reason we were unable to deliver a fix in a future release … though that of course is unlikely).

    Glad the fix seems to be working for those who tried it – and our apologies once again for the inconvenience.

    Yes, I do see that – I just can’t replicate it locally: the venue imports perfectly for me.

    Can you try our regular troubleshooting steps here? Try deactivating all other plugins except for The Events Calendar and Facebook Importer and switch to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve. Then delete the existing event and try re-importing: does the venue come through this time?

    With regards to the timezone difference, did that make sense/did you find your local timezone setting was incorrect?

    I’m not sure I agree that there is a direct parallel in WordPress – since an anonymous user is not permitted to create posts in the normal run of things.

    Since in this scenario there is no user account that the submission can be tied to, Community Events doesn’t set the author field (and WordPress doesn’t populate it with a default, as it might do for a number of other post fields). When you subsequently edit the post to approve it you then have an opportunity to assign it at that point, but the nature of the author dropdown in the editor screen is that it settles on the first user in the list.

    So, by default, if you don’t assign it to a specific user but edit and save the submission it will be assigned to the first user in the list. I can definitely see why you might not like that and we’d certainly be open to a feature request here.

    OK, since it seems like two different problems in that case if you do need further help (Thomas) please do create a new thread – as it sounds like the symptoms were a bit different to those experienced by mdreher. We’re absolutely happy to help, but it would be great if we could avoid confusion caused by troubleshooting two potentially different problems in one thread 🙂

    mdreher – I’m really perplexed. Just for the avoidance of doubt, can you confirm you tried the following (or do so now):

    • Deactivate all plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO
    • In this case, please do also deactivate Community Events
    • Revert to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Thirteen
    • Is it still a problem?
    • If it is, before you reactivate anything could you visit the Events > Help admin screen and copy and paste the system info from the bottom of that screen into a private reply over here?

    (If you don’t see any System Info please ensure you have entered your license key in the Events > Settings > Licenses screen.)
