ParticipantI think that this started on the 3.5 series – and is still happening on the 3.6 update. Simply put: I can’t login to my WP Admin section unless I disable the Events Calendar Pro plugin by renaming it in wp-content and then renaming it back. i.e., the-events-calendar.backup
Normal theme: Responsive Pro 1.96.
I did try disabling all plugins except for the Tri.be plugins. I did try the 2011 default theme as well. Still same issue.
I did revert back to standard theme/functionality for now.
Plugins used:
BackWPUp
Limit Login Attempts
Broken Link Checker
Semisecure Login
Pretty Link Lite
Tiny MCE Advanced
WP Accessibility
This didn’t happen on the 3.4 and previous releases. What might be the cause of it?May 28, 2014 at 5:02 pm #185086Thomas Bliss
ParticipantI have a similar problem. My site is broken.

MemberHi guys, I’m sorry you’re facing difficulties here.
Can you confirm exactly what is happening when you do have Events Calendar PRO activated? Do you see the so called “white screen of death” or does the login/admin page appear to be loading for a long period and then time out after a period of 30 or more seconds?

ParticipantActually, I never even see the dashboard.
Going to my site with /wp-admin in the URL and trying to login takes me straight back to my homepage.May 29, 2014 at 7:47 am #186897Thomas Bliss
ParticipantIt was indeed the “white screen of death”. I managed to get a GURU on the phone and by some magic he managed to fix it. It did take quite some time, and left my site all wonky, still fixing it this morning.
We updated the Theme
Reinstalled all Tri.be pluginsMay 29, 2014 at 1:37 pm #187833Barry
MemberOK, since it seems like two different problems in that case if you do need further help (Thomas) please do create a new thread – as it sounds like the symptoms were a bit different to those experienced by mdreher. We’re absolutely happy to help, but it would be great if we could avoid confusion caused by troubleshooting two potentially different problems in one thread 🙂
mdreher – I’m really perplexed. Just for the avoidance of doubt, can you confirm you tried the following (or do so now):
- Deactivate all plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO
- In this case, please do also deactivate Community Events
- Revert to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Thirteen
- Is it still a problem?
- If it is, before you reactivate anything could you visit the Events > Help admin screen and copy and paste the system info from the bottom of that screen into a private reply over here?
(If you don’t see any System Info please ensure you have entered your license key in the Events > Settings > Licenses screen.)
Let me know how you get on!

MemberOK – that would make sense to some degree as Community Events does have an option to redirect folks out of the admin environment. Are you able to get in there with Community activated (or enter the admin environment and then reactivate Community) or is that proving impossible?
If you can, can you visit Events > Settings > Community and check out the block access to WordPress dashboard setting – what is it set to and which roles are currently blocked?

MemberOK:
Block access to WordPress dashboard – checked
All roles – checked.Administrator shouldn’t be in that list – can you confirm that is true in your case and that this was happening to you while logged in with an administrator role? Or were you logged in at some other level?

ParticipantI ended up having to completely deactivate the “Block access to WordPress dashboard” option, as it required all accounts to be unticked before I could login in as an admin.
