    Hi!

Thanks for your interest in WooCommerce Tickets.

Yes, you could certainly do a great deal of what you have described: you can create as many tickets for as many events as you would like and if you want more complete integration with other WooCommerce-related plugins that’s normally possible with some fairly straightforward customizations.

I’d definitely encourage you to take a peek at our WooCommerce Tickets demo and also check out our new user primer – together they give a great sense of what’s possible.

Thanks again – and let me know if you have any further questions 🙂

    Hi Thomas,

Sorry to hear it didn’t go smoothly for you.

This isn’t something I’m finding I can replicate locally on a clean test site and it looks like a few customizations have been applied to your single event page.

YES, I’ve deactivated all other plugins to check for a plugin conflict.
YES, I’ve reverted to the 2011 default WordPress theme (with other plugins still deactivated) to check for a theme conflict.

Thanks for running through those steps: it’s much appreciated. Just for the avoidance of any doubt, can you confirm if after following those steps you were able to identify any conflicts or problems resulting from your customizations or indeed from your theme/other plugins that might be active (please see our post on looking for conflicts for a little more depth if needed)?

    Thanks!

    That’s a great question.

Right now the only native capability of interest here is CSV import which of course doesn’t help with exporting data (and doesn’t actually cover the import of all event data).

Would it be possible for you to try and use WordPress’s own XML-based import/export tools? A dry run on a test multisite install would help to establish if there are any wrinkles, though hopefully it will go smoothly.

    Let us know!

… One other note, there seems to be a fairly big gap between your copy of Events Calendar PRO (which you note is at 3.6.1) and The Events Calendar itself (which you noted is at 3.8) … is there a reason for that?

    Hi midwestmarketing,

    I’m sorry you’re hitting difficulties.

Can you provide me with a little more context or point me to one or more URLs where I can see the problem? On visiting your main events page at the URL you provided when you opened the thread, I see month view for October and there are events in all of the weeks – not just the first two.

(Please also note that I’ve moved this across to the Events Calendar PRO forum from the Community Events forum as that seems like a more suitable home for it – however the thread URL should remain the same and you should also remain subscribed to notifications, if you chose to do that originally 🙂 )

    Am I misunderstanding?

    Hi openbrolly,

Looks to me as if it is still present – I can see it in the template-tags.php file within the plugin directory (lines 28-40 in the current release).

When you say it no longer seems to be available, are you actually seeing an undefined function error? If so, can you provide some context about when and where you are calling it?

    Thanks!

    Hi Sean,

Making use of the tribe_community_events_form_errors hook as Casey directed is still the right course of action here – unless you’ve found something isn’t working any more I think you’re all good 🙂

The update from Leah in that thread really referred to work done on our related tutorial, rather than changes within the plugin itself.

    I hope that clarifies things.

    Hi northpointe,

I’m sorry you’re experiencing difficulties, but thanks for reaching out – I’d love to get a little more context on this one if I can.

    • Just to be clear, you mean that this happens when the Recurring Event Instances setting (“show only the first instance of each recurring event (only affects list-style views” found in Events > Settings > General) is enabled?
    • Is it actually the main list view that is impacted or some other view/all other views?
    • I see you already tried our standard troubleshooting steps which is awesome: can you confirm if that enabled you to identify any conflicts that might be at work here?

    Thanks!

OK, well I’m glad it’s fixed at any rate.

I’ll leave this open for a little while longer in case you need to follow up on this (and if you after a while you come back and find we closed it please just create a new thread and drop a link in to this one to give the team some context).

Fingers crossed, though, that it was an unusual but temporary glitch 🙂

Honestly, if this only crops up with this custom child theme and you’re the developer then really you’re in the best position to take things from here.

I’d definitely start with fixing the bad HTML (I just visited starfiredev.staging.wpengine.com/events and see it is still in place) and take things from there.

If fixing that alone doesn’t help, perhaps you could systematically comment out or disable any actions, filters or other customizations added to Genesis by your child theme and figure out the conflict that way?

Can we give that a go?

Can you leave it in that condition (ie, just Genesis running and not the child theme) so I can take a quick peek?

    Hi dupagechildrens,

I’m sorry you are experiencing difficulties.

Right now I’m not quite sure I see or fully understand the problem. If we look at DuPage Children’s Museum Welcomes Tony Hale and His New Friend, Archibald (on 4th October) first of all, the title in the month view grid matches the title in the tooltip, and the times in the tooltip match the times I see if I follow the actual link (both are 2.00-4.00pm).

Can you  clarify the problem/take me through it step-by-step?

    Thanks!

    Hi Chris,

I’ve got a couple of thoughts here.

One is that this is nothing more than an issue with badly formed markup – checkout the following HTML from the URL you linked to:

    <div class="textwidget"><a href=https://secure.sports-it.com//mysam/index.php?cid=starfire&time=1404776630= target=_blank>Log In To Your Account</a><br>
    <a href=https://secure.sports-it.com//mysam/index.php?cid=starfire&time=1404776630= target=_blank>Create a Starfire Account</a><br>

So we’ve got attributes that aren’t in quotes and that may be causing issues when the browser builds its document object model. Perhaps correcting that will resolve this?

Other than that, this seems to be a Genesis child theme: can you confirm if the same problem occurs using just Genesis by itself? If not, and if you can’t solve it by correcting the bad HTML, it could be worth discussing this issue with the author of the child theme.

    Does that help?

    Hi Donald,

    I’m sorry you’re experiencing difficulties.

Am I right in thinking you updated The Events Calendar to 3.8, but Events Calendar PRO is still at version 3.7? If so, that would explain why you are seeing a nag message.

Are you able to go ahead and update Events Calendar PRO, too? Please ensure you have entered your license key (in Events > Settings > Licenses first of all!).

Let me know if that helps 🙂

    Hi technicallysimple,

I’m afraid this has not been fixed in 3.8 (as I indicated to fmas490 we were already in code freeze and so couldn’t squeeze this in) but we have raised the priority and are provisionally scheduling it for the very next release.

We absolutely realize this is a serious issue and if you can bear with us a little longer relief should be in sight.
