MemberHi Barbara, I think you are (regrettably) experiencing a known issue whereby certain settings are reset to their defaults upon upgrading. So, to fix this, all you would need to do is visit Events > Settings and reconfigure the event calendar slugs.
We’re aware of the problem and have taken steps to prevent it from occurring when future updates take place – but please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.
Barry
MemberWhile it’s probably possible it’s not something we could really help with – you’d really need to derive a custom solution for something like this.
Barry
MemberMy understanding is this is fixed as of 3.0 (the next major release) – if you are confident with filters and actions you could probably suppress and change this behaviour, but I’m afraid that’s not something we can really help with on this occasion.

MemberHi jts2005, if I remember correctly that was a possible fix specifically relating to a third-party plugin (The Events Calendar Category Colors) … if that is the context in which you are using it then just be aware that we don’t offer any support for that here (though there’s no problem if you want to keep this open and discuss the issue – it’s just not something we officially support).
Also, for reference, I believe this will no longer be an issue when 3.0 is release π

MemberHi Berrie,
When an event has passed it is not normally displayed any longer, however it should remain in the database and be present in the list of event posts when you are logged in as an administrator.
Are you experiencing something else?
Barry
MemberI note you tried deactivating other plugins/switching to a default theme … but, just to confirm, our basic troubleshooting steps in their entirety are:
- Please ensure that your Modern Tribe plugins are up-to-date and in-synch … for instance if you are using The Events Calendar 2.0.11 you must also use Events Calendar PRO 2.0.11
- Deactivate all other plugins and change your theme to a default, unmodified one such as Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve
- Now test to see if the problem still exists
- If the problem has been solved by these steps, start reactivating everything one-at-a-time, testing at each point to see if the issue has returned
- If the issue does return, take note of whichever plugin (or theme) you reactivated immediately before it started again – it’s likely there is a conflict with this item
And in your case of course you would need to keep WooTickets and WooCommerce active, too.
In any case, can you confirm that these are the same steps you ran through and if the behaviour of your site changed at all? If not, can you confirm if you have installed a caching plugin?
Barry
MemberWhy does the whole calendar appear as one category color?
Are you using The Events Calendar Category Colors for this? If so please remember that that is not an official plugin and we can’t offer any formal support for it.
Barry
Memberis this plugin compatible with WPML? I mean: is possible to use it with multilanguage support?
A number of users have reported compatibility issues so we can’t say that it is WPML-compatible, I’m afraid. We are planning to address this – right now however it’s possible you will experience difficulties.
i need to limit the users as βauthorsβ to create/manage only their events (and not places, events categories). Is possible?
Anything is possible, but it would require some investigation of the current roles and capabilities set up – it’s definitely an area where you would need to build your own custom solution.

MemberWe seem to be seeing different things. If I visit:
http://remote-data.info/wfa-test/website/events/
Then the page title is “Events for March, 2013”, whereas the title of the first event is “Test Event β This shows a post Title”.

MemberHi gpeery.
It sounds like most of what you are trying to accomplish could be handled with a little template customization work … it’s probably worth reading over the following and then creating new threads if you encounter specific difficulties or are unsure of how to proceed:
* Themer’s Guide
* Template Overrides TutorialI thought I would have the option to include a screen shot with this forum post, but I am not seeing that option.
No such option I’m afraid, but you can definitely post a link to a screenshot hosted on your own or another site π
Barry
MemberYou might be able to leverage the :visited pseudo-class. On regular links for instance you can you this to change them to a different colour when the visitor has already viewed them:
a:visited { color: #098 }Barry
MemberHi Kevin,
Can you try this out using pretty permalinks (ideally of the %postname% pattern)? Unfortunately the plugin doesn’t play too nicely with default permalinks which you seem to be using.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberOK – so you’re all sorted here?
Barry
MemberNo problem at all – as with Aaron we’d be happy to provide a copy of the current version of Pro if you wanted to try that out – otherwise this should be resolved in the next release π
