Featured Calendar: The Ann Arbor Art Center

Each month, we feature one of our customers using The Events Calendar products. And sometimes, we feature one of our nonprofit customers. We provide a discounted Events Calendar Pro license to all qualified nonprofit organizations, and this month, we’re featuring one of our favorite nonprofits, the Ann Arbor Art Center.

Their mission, in their words, is:

“to be a contemporary forum for the visual arts through education, exploration, collaboration, and exhibition. We engage minds, expand perspectives, and inspire growth in students of all ages, teachers, artists, and the community.”

The homepage

The Ann Arbor Art Center is fearless in using colorful imagery to set the tone of its website, and the homepage is no exception. You’ll find consistent colors of orange, green, yellow, and navy throughout the website, with a scrolling hero image on the homepage showcasing some of their upcoming events.

The main calendar page

Once you click on the main calendar page, you’ll see the familiar colors of the homepage echoed in the titles of the upcoming events.

Their featured image also contains text about the event so that site visitors can see the information in various forms. Multi-day events always appear first on the calendar in List View, so these types of events remain pinned to the top of the list.

Single event page

Click on any one of the single event pages, and you’ll find all the information you need to be a part of the event. If the event calls for submissions, you can use the Learn More link to be redirected to the Google Form. As you can see, Related Events are also listed below.
