Brandon,
Yes, that manual process certainly seems like something you wouldn’t want to do all the time. 🙂
Assuming there is someway to identify these as different than others, I could provide the names of some hooks within the code that you could leverage with a customization. If that’s something you feel comfortable tackling, let me know and I’ll point you in the right direction.
Zach TirrellKeymasterPedro,
I updated your initial license date back to the first of the year. This will give you access to the older versions and allow you to downgrade to get around this bug in the short term.
I’d love to know what exactly is causing the handlebars JavaScript conflict. If you would be willing, it would be helpful to follow our Testing for conflicts guide to pinpoint the incompatibility. This would greatly accelerate our ability to deliver an update that works for you.
February 27, 2017 at 8:11 pm in reply to: Custom Attendee information not stored anymore since latest update #1246630Zach TirrellKeymasterHans, thanks so much for sharing all these details! This will be very helpful in tracking down this particular issue. As I’m sure you saw in the other thread, this issue is causing us a bit of trouble. There are certainly a large number of folks experiencing it, but not everyone and we are struggling to reproduce it.
Could you also share your system information with us? This guide will help you do that, either automatically or manually is fine.
Thanks again for the details you have already shared, I’m hopeful this will shed some real light on the bug.
Zach TirrellKeymasterThis issue is causing us a bit of trouble. There are certainly a large number of folks experiencing it, but not everyone. More troublesome, we are struggling to reproduce it.
With that in mind, the more information you can give us about your hosting environment the better. We need to figure out what exactly is causing this disruption. Ideally, if you could share your system information with us, that would be most helpful. This guide will help you do that, either automatically or manually is fine.
Our hope is to get a patch out for this as soon as we can identify the root cause.
February 27, 2017 at 8:03 pm in reply to: Getting white screen on events page and when creating a new event in WP #1246626Zach TirrellKeymasterHi Melissa,
That PHP Notice is typically indicative of some older functions in our code being called. The most likely culprit for this would be a customization. If you are aware of any that you have done or have been done for you, your first step would be disabling those and seeing if the issue goes away.
It is also possible that the customization is coming from your theme. You may be best off going through our guide for Testing for conflicts to see if you can identify where this is coming from.
Zach TirrellKeymasterHi Jean-Philippe!
Sorry to hear this is happening. To be sure, are you running the latest version of The Events Calendar? Assuming that is the case, could you share the URLs that you are importing? Feel free to make that a private reply if they are sensitive at all. From the feed we can look and see what is causing the duplication. Some feeds can be more troublesome than others.
Zach TirrellKeymasterHello!
Looking at your calendar widget, it looks like you are getting month name abbreviations instead of the day abbreviations. This in turn is throwing off the overall appearance of that widget. This is not default behavior and I just confirmed on my local install that it is not currently appearing this way for me. Is it possible that you are running a customization of some sort? You can test for conflicts by walking through our Testing for conflicts guide. Typically this is easiest if you have a test or staging site.
Let us know how the conflict testing goes and hopefully that reveals the crux of this issue.
I also took a quick look at the page you linked that was having map issues. I am seeing a Google Map there now. Is it possible that you already resolved this problem? If so, great!
February 13, 2017 at 12:54 pm in reply to: Can an event have a start time, but no end time? #1234033Zach TirrellKeymasterLooks like you are all set with this, I’m going to go ahead and close out this thread. If you have any other questions, feel free to open another ticket.
Zach TirrellKeymasterYou should be able to deactivate WooCommerce Tickets and activate Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus. From there, everything should work just fine. We did not change the way the data is stored, so, you should not lose any data.
As with all things, for extra safety, you should do a backup. I expect this to all go very smoothly, but better safe than sorry!
Zach TirrellKeymasterLance,
I assume this is the page you are talking about? https://centerforworldmusic.org/events/
That alteration of the featured images is not something we are intentionally doing. I suspect that your theme or a plugin is cropping these images. It’s not as simple as a CSS change, because the images themselves are being cropped to these shorter dimensions. You can confirm this is true because some of the images are taller than others.
I went ahead and tried the latest version of Enfold myself and did not immediately see the same problem, although you likely have a lot of customized settings.
Is it possible for you to go through our conflicting testing guide on a test site? Keep in mind that to test this, you will have to upload a new image and see the effect, since whatever is causing the shortened images is cropping them and this is most likely occurring during upload.
Zach TirrellKeymasterHi Catherine!
It looks like you renewed an Event Tickets Plus license. Last year we started the process of transitioning customers off of “The Events Calendar: WooCommerce Tickets” to Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus. This new pair of plugins should work almost identically to WooCommerce Tickets, but with a lots of extra features we have built in the past year.
Event Tickets is free, and you can grab both plugins on your downloads page.
If you’d like to know more about Event Tickets and Event Tickets plus, you can check out our New User Primer, but it’s all going to feel very familiar to you as a WooCommerce Tickets user.
Let me know if you need any additional help with the transition.
Zach TirrellKeymasterYes, this is sort of a hidden feature. If you set the end time to be the same as the start time, it will show the event with only a start time and no duration.
Let us know if this works as you expect and have a great day!
Zach TirrellKeymasterMatthew – I just checked the new link you shared and again, it loads fine for me.
I wonder if you have a caching plugin that is causing difficulties. This does seem different than the original issue you reported. If it continues happening, please open a new thread and share as much information about your site setup as possible.
Zach TirrellKeymasterHi Mathew!
I’m hitting that URL and it is loading for me. I’m assuming that means you resolved whatever trouble was happening?
Let me know if you need any other help.
Zach TirrellKeymasterThanks Greg, don’t hesitate to raise concerns when you have them, we always appreciate the feedback.
