    Hi, attached is one recent series I entered. When I check on the front end there were also entries on the first day for every other time. So for example, at one point the time changes (or has additional) from 8:00pm to 1:30pm or 2:00pm or 7:30pm depending on the day of the week. On the first entry of the series all four times are showing. I had to remove the wrong times manually. I have not gone back to see if this problem persists beyond the first day of the event.

    Hi Geoff

    I successfully made changes as per your suggestion. Indeed the form now says : “Choose a .jpg, .png, or .gif file under 488 KB in size.”

    However, when I test the form it still allows me to upload very large files. I just tried it with a 12MB file and it still uploaded.

    Any ideas?

    Hi, I changed the time as suggested and it seems to be working properly now. Thanks for your help!

    Sorry, it appears I am mistaken. The list view does not show time blocks. The individual day view does.

    Hi,

    I checked the settings. The cut-off time was not at 4am but this was never a problem before.

    If I remember correctly all-day events would be indicated as such. Now they are no longer showing that way. They show up as having no time.

    I see the listings no longer have the times broken down into time segments during the day. That’s too bad.

    Regards

    Mark

    Thanks. The form displays properly if I use the default events template. Problem is it removes the sidebar from the events calendar as well. This was not the problem as the sidebar was only an issue with the community events. What I’d really like is the ability to turn off the sidebar for only the community events form screen. Is that possible?

    I think all I need to understand is how to turn off the sidebars on this page so that the form is the only thing displayed.

    Hi Nico, it was fixed in Chrome after deleting the cache so that part is all good now. Thanks!

    I just tried again without the image and now I’m getting an error: Are you sure you want to do this? with no options to say “yes” or “no”. The Chrome browser tab at the top says “WordPress Failure Notice”.

    Interestingly enough I try it with Firefox and MS Edge (I was using Chrome previously) it doesn’t seem to be a problem. The generated email doesn’t work with the image but it does work without.

    Hi Josh, yes same thing happening. When I click on the “Tweet” button to the left of the form it pre-populates with the following:

    “WP Router Placeholder Page http://vancouverpresents.com/events/community/add via @vanpresents”

    Hmm, I’m at a loss. I’ve double-checked and it appears to be there…

    Hi Brian, so I changed that line and cleared the site cache and I still don’t get an excerpt. Here is what that section looks like now:

    `// Get the Excerpt or content based on what is available
    if ( has_excerpt( $post->ID ) ) {
    $excerpt = $post->post_excerpt;
    } else {
    $excerpt = $post->post_content;
    }

    // Remove all shortcode Content before removing HTML
    if ( ! $allow_shortcode ) {
    $excerpt = preg_replace( ‘#\[.+\]#U’, ”, $excerpt );
    }

    // Remove “all” HTML based on what is allowed
    $excerpt = wp_kses( $excerpt, $allowed_html );

    // Still treat this as an Excerpt on WP
    $excerpt = wp_trim_excerpt( $excerpt, ’55’ );

    return wpautop( $excerpt );
    }

    Okay, looks like everything is back and working. Whew!

    Question for you though. The events “list” & “day” views used to provide a snippet with a link to more details. Now it appears that the entire text in the event listing is showing. Was there a reason for this change? It makes for some rather long screens now 🙁
