yvrmarkParticipant
In the back end I have disabled all but the list and day views. Day view is set as the default view. However, the Events List widget links to the monthly view.
yvrmarkParticipantRob, your comment is unwarranted. Please point out where in my posts I am “verging on disrespectful”?
As for releasing on the Wednesday, it does take a couple days for these major bugs to be identified and from the explosion of posts in the support forums after this release it is evident there were not just a few. I was simply suggesting best practices.yvrmarkParticipantI agree, very frustrating. I have suggested that releases don’t happen just before a long weekend. As someone who works at a major software company it is pretty basic stuff. You ramp up for potential problems with a new release, not down…
yvrmarkParticipantChris, might I once again suggest that Tribe stop releasing new versions just before a long weekend. It seems to me this happened last time there was a release that caused problems for people and of course no one can get answers because it is a holiday.
yvrmarkParticipantI am experiencing the exact same problem with categories without events. Very frustrating as Google isn’t liking it very much. The only thing to do is turn-off those categories.
Catchable fatal error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string in /home/xxx/public_html/xxx/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lib/tribe-template-factory.class.php on line 265
yvrmarkParticipantI am curious to know what you found out in investigating through Suzanne’s site.
yvrmarkParticipantJust a word of warning. I can actually see Suzanne’s response with the log-in details. I guess marking it private means everyone in the conversation can read the messages.
BTW, Jonah – admin credentials are not going to happen for my site. I’m sure you’re a lovely guy and all and know what you’re doing but I don’t provide access to anyone that I don’t personally know.
Needless to say I’m EXTREMELY disappointed with how this update went – actually more of an overhaul than update. Some of the functionality that I paid for is now simply not there.
Next time you need to warn people when you’re about to fundamentally change things like you did. This was not just a few tweaks, bug fixes and updates. This was a fundamentally different plug-in.
$100 well spent? Nope. Sorry.
yvrmarkParticipantI did the same.
yvrmarkParticipantHi Suzanne, thanks for verifying I’m not the only one with issues. I’m experiencing even more odd behaviors with recurring events – when I select a single event the toggle buttons become selected for the entire series now. I cannot even select a single event in a series.
yvrmarkParticipant1. In the monthly view it only displays a certain number of events with a link on those days with more that says “view all”. When you click on that “view all” link it returns a 404 error.
2. Too bad – it worked so well out of the box in the previous version.
3. When in click on “settings” for Pro in the plugins I get the error.
My point here is that everything worked fine in the previous version. When I saw updates were available I was not expecting a total overhaul – like most updates I was expecting some bug fixes and maybe a few security fixes. Deactivating all other plugins on a live site is not the best solution… Its the equivalent of IT saying have you turned it on or rebooted. -
