    Hey Barry,

    Also thought I should mention:

If you have a _lot_ of events that need changing, it may be easier to export them and re-import them as csv since the csv imports use the site timezone. If you need to do this let me know and I can give you more info on how to go about it.

    Cheers,

    Hey Diane,

There is no limit on the number of custom fields.

I assume you mean searchable by users? I do not believe they are searchable out-of-the-box, but several search solutions (plugins) allow searching by post meta – which is where the info is stored.

I hope this helps you. If you have any more questions about this, ask away!

    Cheers,

    Stephen

    Hey Barry!

There are two other things to check:

There is a general setting at Events > Settings > General tab > Timezone (at the bottom of the page) that is for all events (sounds like this might be the issue)

If that doesn’t work, make sure the individual events have the correct timezone set:

Hope that fixes things for you!

    Stephen

    Hey Peter!

    Thanks for using our plugins!

The larger text is a style from your theme. Occasionally the calendar styles load after the theme styles and occasionally there is enough of a delay (slow load or slow connection) that you get that flash of “unstyled” text. I noticed it doesn’t happen (for me) after the first page load, as the styling is then cached by the browser.

Let’s see if we can fix it!

In Appearance -> Customizer in the dashboard, you can use the Additional Styles section to add this style:

    h3.tribe-events-month-event-title {
     font-size: 100%;
    }

That should fix it. If not, let me know and I’ve got another approach.

    Cheers,

    Stephen

    Hey Fation,

We currently do not support pay-to-post although it is a planned feature!

You are welcome to go add your vote to the existing request here.

    Hey Emmet,

If you are using event aggregator, you’ll note that if you choose CSV or iCal file it prompts you for a file upload (which you correctly pointed out cannot be scheduled). If you want to subscribe to a file url you would use the “Other URL” import type, which can be scheduled.

    Hope that helps you both!

    Hi Erin,

    Awesome!

Yes, you can modify the template to show things like the attendee name.

You can do something like the following (or use it as a jumping-off point) https://gist.github.com/niconerd/d2ea62be5375ae3dc088dd29b7350608

You might want to read our Themer’s Guide to give you a sense of how that works.

    Hey Paul!

If the issue goes away when you change to the default theme and come back when you switch back, it’s likely that your theme has some styles affecting the calendar widget.

I find the simplest way to figure them out is to use the inspector in your browser to see which styles are causing the issue. I don’t know if you’ve used it before, so assuming you haven’t:

You can see each of the rules applied to the calendar and enable/disable them to see which fixes the issue. Here’s an image for you of the calendar and it’s styles in the inspector. Each style rule has a checkbox you can use to toggle it off/on – by working through those you should be able to find the style conflict.

Then it’s a matter of either editing the styles of your theme or adding an overriding custom style rule under Appearance -> Customize in the dashboard.

If you need more help with this, let me know!

    Cheers,

    Stephen

    Hey Barry,

Thanks for using The Events Calendar PRO!

I’m sorry you’re having this issue, and I agree – you don’t want to have to edit all your event dates!

I’ve tried to reproduce this and haven’t been able to yet. Before I dig in more I’d like to ask if you’ve tried changing the Timezone and week start back to see if they reset to the correct dates? If they do then you’ve potentially discovered a bug, if not it may be something else that changed the dates.

If you could do that and let me know what happens, it would make it easier for me to help you figure out what’s going on.

    Thanks!

    Stephen

    Hey Robert!

    Thanks for using our plugins!

I’m sorry you’re having an issue with the page title. Hopefully we can get to the root of this quickly!

Are you using any other plugins – this looks like it might be a conflict with n plugin that alters titles. To be sure, it’s best if you follow the steps here to rule out any conflicts.

If you could do that and let me know if you discover anything, that would help resolve this.

    Hey Ashraf,

Looks like you’ve got a few copies of this question in our forums. Cliff responded to you in this one, so I’m going to close this and let you discuss it there.

    Hey Pekka,

I’ve confirmed that if you use a multiline field it does not export line breaks correctly and you lose info when opening in excel – thanks for letting us know!

If it’s at all helpful – Google Sheets seems to import the multiline fields correctly. So this is an excel-specific issue.

I’ve created a bug ticket for this, and am setting this thread to pending fix so you’ll be notified when a fix has been created.

If you have any follow-up questions, don’t hesitate to ask me!

    Hey Oren,

Thanks for using our plugins! The default template for tickets does show the number of tickets and how many are available. Here’s a screenshot using the default twentyseventeen theme.

If it’s not showing for you, let me know – it may be a conflict causing it. If this doesn’t answer your question or you have any follow-up questions, don’t hesitate to ask me!

    Hey James,

    Sorry, I must have misunderstood!

If I am understanding you correctly, you can set up an import from a feed/url (instructions are here) and you can save it as a scheduled import. It will then re-import based on your schedule. There is documentation on managing scheduled imports here.

If that doesn’t accomplish what you want or you have any follow-up questions – don’t hesitate to ask me!

    Cheers,

    Stephen
