MemberHey Lee. We had some other custom recurrence problems in the initial 2.0 launch; those are fixed in 2.0.1, which is launching tomorrow. I just tested the criteria you noted here on that new code base and it worked without error.
If upon upgrading tomorrow (or whenever you do) you still have this problem, please let me know in this thread and I can keep looking into it for you.

MemberWhoa! That’s definitely weird. Never heard of or seen anything else like that. The plugin shouldn’t be causing that – if you had a link to /events up there going to grid view and updated to a new version of the plugin, the worst that’d happen is you’d be told that menu item no longer existed.
Does this happen in both free & PRO? Could it be a conflict with another plugin, or caused flat out by another plugin? I see at the bottom of your screen there’s a catchable fatal error, which could be related? Sorry I couldn’t offer up more; this is the first time I’ve seen/heard of anything like this.

MemberFrom us on the tri.be team, I can confirm that I don’t believe anyone has brought this issue to my attention yet. That’s not to say it isn’t an issue though. Would be interested to hear what other users had to say on it, if anyone else has taken this route…
Sorry I couldn’t offer up more on our end.

MemberStill awaiting word from the dev; since we have a lot of new features there’s a lot of support, so we’re a bit backlogged on it right now. Should be able to get you something over the next day or so though. Haven’t forgotten about this one 🙂
Rob
MemberAh, thanks for clarifying — I understand the issue now. (Previously thought you meant clicking into a given entry from a date, not into date view itself). That bug is a known issue that we’ll have resolved for 2.0.1, which should be released either later today or tomorrow (Friday) morning. Sit tight and you should have a resolution.
If on upgrading you find the problem persists (make sure to re-save your permalinks!), let me know and I can look into it further for you.

MemberThanks for the feedback, folks. Kevin: I’d be interested in hearing whether your playing around with the system got it into the archive pages, since others may have a similar question. There are probably SEO plugins that could accomplish your meta data request…have you looked into that? Plugins like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/ come to mind.
There may be ways to make this events-as-posts integration easier down the road, but realistically we probably won’t be moving back to the events-as-posts structure since a lot of the development we’re doing, both related to ECP and the add-ons that will come to extend it, are relying on this custom post type approach. However I’d be happy to provide support to whatever extent you guys need as you keep working with the PRO plugin here.
Rob
MemberOr, for those interested in seeing it in a more structured format: https://theeventscalendar.com/event-submissions-using-gravity-forms-in-2-0/.
Rob
MemberHow about now? It had been re-unpublished somehow 🙂 My bad.
Rob
MemberHmm. That’s odd. Only other suggestion I’d have is http://www.tri.be/show-your-events-in-the-main-post-loop/ — that time I added the www. Any luck?
Rob
MemberAh, good. That may still be an issue since I don’t think you should have to do that. But I’m glad you got the core issue resolved.
Rob
MemberHey Kevin. Glad to see you got the first issue resolved. There’s no way to do that on the frontend, unfortunately…you can separate between the two on the backend but nothing along those lines on the public-facing side. You could possibly hack something like that together, but I’m afraid I can’t offer up more than that.
Rob
MemberSorry Mary – what’s happening when you click the link? Weird, it’s working fine on my end.
Rob
MemberHey Nick. Thanks for the words on this plugin 🙂 Glad it’s serving some value for you. On the issue you’re noting: there’s nothing built out of the box to allow for this, but can that not be accomplished by either the frontend venue view or the “see all” link that allows you to see all instances of a recurrence in the same loop?
Rob
MemberHmm. Good question; a bit outside my area of expertise, but I can get our developer John to take a look on this. It may be a bug.
Rob
Member2.0.1 is coming tomorrow (Thursday); 2.0.2 should be mid-to-late next week.
