Leverage recurring events by listing upcoming dates

Hi guys,

We run a number of recurring events – and would like to promote the ‘central page’ (ie. http://mccyclery.com.au/event/mcbff-ride/) rather than the specific date pages (ie. http://mccyclery.com.au/event/mcbff-ride/2011-11-08). This is for a number of reasons – largely to build up social media visibility, etc. One thing that would make this ‘off the hook’ would be the ability to show a simple list of the upcoming dates, rather than the ‘schedule’ link to the /all page (which is useful in itself). These guys do it really well http://www.mellowjohnnys.com/new-ride-tuesday-morning-blazing-saddle-ride/

Is this something that would be easy to do? I will brief our developers shortly – but thought I’d firstly ask if this was something you had planned, or if there were some quick pointers you might have on how to do it (to save time/effort).

It’s worth noting, that apart from that small feature – the new product has everything we’ve been looking for in an Events plugin – great job guys!

Hey Nick. Thanks for the words on this plugin 🙂 Glad it’s serving some value for you. On the issue you’re noting: there’s nothing built out of the box to allow for this, but can that not be accomplished by either the frontend venue view or the “see all” link that allows you to see all instances of a recurrence in the same loop?
