Hey Will, thanks for the words. We do what we can 🙂

Re: the venues/organizers: that sounds like a new issue. As it stands, we’re aware of a bug that doesn’t save venue/organizer data if you didn’t enter a name for it; and on migrated events, dual organizer/venue entries getting created. But I’m unable to recreate the first issue. What’s your recurrence pattern (if there is one) you’re using to configure this? Let me know steps for recreating and I’ll do what I can.

On the map/featured image below the event page (assuming you mean the entry body text) should be doable – I’ll get our dev Jonah to chime in with that one.

Yup, you should be able to get the widget to show the thumbnail for the NEXT EVENT widget here: https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-show-featured-thumbnails-in-the-next-events-widget/. Does that point you in the right direction to make similar modifications to the ADVANCED LIST widget?

The last point (month navigators below the calendar as well as the top) is another one I’ll need Jonah to help out on. I’ve sent this his way accordingly.

Julien, if you drop it into pastie.org, we could certainly take a look from there.

Thanks Tineke. Let me run it by John, see if he thinks the get_tribe_custom(“field label”) approach would be worth working into the code base!

Hey Tineke. I can get our developer Jonah to take a look here; can you drop the code into pastie.org or a similar site so he can see what we’re working with here?

Hey again Robert. This should be doable, but I’m unaware of how to off-hand…let me get our dev Jonah to chime in with his thoughts.

Hi Robert. Not yet, but we’re working on an add-on plugin that will allow PRO users to do this. No timetable on it yet (since we’re focused on Eventbrite Ticketing and Community Events add-ons first), but it is on the radar. Sorry I couldn’t be more specific than that – if you keep checking the website or our Facebook page, we’ll announce when we’ve made more progress and have a beta available.

Hi Irene. This is controlled by your default WordPress date/time settings, which you’d configure under Settings –> General. Some details about how to configure & customize that can be found right here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time. That help?

Hi Massimo. When you say “import,” do you mean migrate from a previous version? Or actually import from a csv or something similar? If the latter, that would require an add-on plugin that we’re currently beta testing and which I’d be happy to have you assist in betaing if you’re interested.

Otherwise there’s no functionality out of the box that does this unfortunately. For what documentation we do have, you can check that out right here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/.

Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, just holler.

Thanks Adam. You’re the same Adam we’ve been working with on the importer, right? Just want to make sure since there are at least a couple “Adam”s on the forum here 🙂 Thanks in advance.

Hey Brac. Sorry to hear you’re having issues; can you point me to the problematic entry so I can give it a shot myself? Thanks in advance!

Hi Jerret. No problem at all! We’re building out more and more on the documentation front every week; what we’ve got right now is at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/ – I’m this week (and likely into Monday or Tuesday) putting together a primer for new users on how to do the basics with the plugin, and we’ve got our developers putting together little tutorials on how to modify the look/feel along the way.

Beyond the documentation, we’ve aslo got help videos (https://theeventscalendar.com/category/help-video/) and FAQs (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/faqs/) that we’re constantly adding to as well. It sounds like the issue you’re having could be resolved with a template override, discussed in the first question in the customization section of that FAQ.

On the most basic level, have you tried the different templating options available under Settings –> The Events Calendar? One of the different options on the dropdown may help with the gargantuan calendar aspect. Let me know if this helps!

Oh, nice — glad to hear the issue with the single view wasn’t a bug in the code (figured it wasn’t since I was unable to recreate). You seem to be rocking it here. Thanks again for all your help.

That could definitely be the case. Julien, that sound familiar?
