MemberThanks for confirming, John. Jonah will respond on this today.

MemberHey Terrance. I talked this over with Jonah. Looks like this is a rather complex task to do in WordPress alone, let alone with events. We are going to put together an FAQ/tutorial on this but it’s going to take some time to do – we’re aiming to get that published this week. Just wanted to give you a heads up since providing one-off hackery in this thread probably won’t be possible given the depth of work here. Apologies about that.
Rob
MemberExcellent to see you got this figured out. If anything else comes up or if you have other questions, let me know…happy to help.
Rob
MemberJoe: wp-admin access would be fine for now. We’ll get to FTP if we have to 🙂

MemberHey Stefan. We’d be happy to take a look at the site – can you share a link though? 🙂
Rob
MemberI can get Jonah to take a look at this for you, Jason. He’ll chime in today.
Rob
MemberAh, excellent! Glad to see you got that figured out. If anything else comes up along these lines, give me a shout and I’d be happy to help.
Rob
MemberLet me see if Jonah has any other thoughts on this one, Tom.

Member@Joe: The infinite recurring events is a good idea. We’ve had a few folks request that. As for the widget, we intentionally developed that as a super bare-bones way of just displaying this month’s current events…but have plans to ultimately build that out to include toggling forward/backwards like in regular grid view. No guarantees on when that’s going to happen though.
@Rob: Sorry man, I think only you can unsubscribe yourself from follow-up emails by unchecking the “Notify me…” box when posting a response.
@Nick: Thanks for sharing re: the widget. If you would be willing to share the code, we’d be happy to work this in sooner rather than later. On the hide from calendar view – I’m seeing that on the radar for 2.1, so it will likely be sometime during the 2.1 lifecycle but probably not in the 2.0.x releases anywhere. I’ll let you know if that changes.
Thanks again, all! Keep the suggestions coming.

MemberIf you felt comfortable doing a template override, that’d definitely be the best method (more on the process can be found under the “Customization” section of our FAQ page at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/FAQ). The individual event listings are controlled by the single.php file in the “Views” folder.
Rob
MemberLooks like you posted this in two places. SInce I’ve already responded to the other thread, let’s not use this one anymore.
Rob
MemberHi Joseph. I actually sent you an email on this yesterday, after Peter from our team forwarded me your initial request. Did you not see that email? There was an issue with the login name you were using, but I reset your password and verified that logging in worked fine…let me know if the message-in-question never came through and I can resend it.

MemberAh, that’s good to know…I didn’t realize they were still in that stage. I have the finished (to be released Monday) 2.0.2 code; if you’d be willing to give it a shot to see if it fixed your issue, shoot me a note (rob at tri.be) and I’ll send it your way for testing. We can continue to troubleshoot as needed from there.
Rob
MemberWeird – I am indeed seeing the issue. I may need to get into the backend of your site to check this out; if you’d allow it, please send me a set of credentials to rob at tri.be (along with a link to this thread for reference) and I can look into this further.
