Hey guys. Thanks for the updates, and apologies that it took me a few days to get back to you – as you were likely aware, we slowed down a bit for holiday last week. It sounds like, at least in Kyle’s case, this was an issue with a theme conflict (correct me if I’m wrong there). It’s tough for us to provide direct support on one-off theme issues; but if you get a little further in your testing environment and want to run anything by us, I can definitely get the devs to chime in with their thoughts.

Jason: it’s very possible that there was a light bug introduced in 2.0.2 that caused the Shopp conflict. If you want to, shoot me an email (rob at tri.be) and I’ll get you the code we’ve worked on since then, which will – whenever it’s released – become 2.0.3. It may help resolve your issue.

Hey Aaron. I’ll see if I can get one of our advanced devs to offer up their insights on this, sometime this week.

Hey Jen. Thanks for the response; sorry it took me some time to get back to you here, I’ve been on holiday. The issue of permalinks is definitely a known bug…we’re working to fix how they behave on non-pretty (ie default) permalinks for the 2.0.3 release. Any chance you could test with a permalink structure like /%postname%/ and let me know if the issue persists?

Just a heads up that this is on the radar to be addressed this week, now that the team is back from their respective vacations. Stay tuned.

Thanks Joe. Looks like the Firebug code got stripped out, but I think others will be able to deduce what you did regardless. Hope you had a nice holiday.

Hey again Liana. Just wanted to confirm that we’ve got this fixed for the 2.0.3 release; I just tested the updated code base and your issue no longer persists. Just a heads up to watch for 2.0.3 over the next week or so!

That’s odd. I wonder if they’ve made changes to the web-based map that haven’t yet carried over to the API we’re using. My best bet would be to wait until the 2.1 release, when we’ll update the API again, to see if the issue is fixed. Realize that’s not ideal but is probably the best we can do at this point. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more.

Are you looking in the Events CSS for The Events Calendar? If you do a search for “Width” therein, a number of options come up. If you are still having trouble from there let me know…our dev Jonah could probably point you in the right direction.

Ah, excellent. That’s good to know – hopefully other users who have this same problem will benefit from this. Meanwhile I’m going to check with our devs to see if there was a reason we had the code that way; if it’s not necessary, we’ll change to what you suggested for the next release.

Hey Joe. This one is a known bug that we introduced in 2.0.2; with any luck, our fix for the issue (which is already done & awaiting code review internally) will be included in the 2.0.3 release we’re currently working to get out ASAP. Thanks for the report and sorry I couldn’t offer up more.

Hey Joe. This is a good point, but unfortunately most of the map aspect is controlled entirely by the Google Maps API…we don’t have any control over that on our beyond passing the data you input along and having Google generate from there. It sounds like based on what you’re saying, their map isn’t accurate…if I understand correctly, the map shows the general vicinity but the marker itself is down the road from the real venue. Right? If so have you checked whether the venue appears this same way in regular old Google Maps, without using the plugin at all?

Hey again Joe. Sure is; have you tried switching between the template options under Settings -> The Events Calendar? The different options there should display different widths on the frontend. There is also this response that our dev Jonah posted, to someone asking a similar question: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/layout-css-glitch/#post-12575.

That give you what you need to know? Let me know if not.

Hey Joe. Does this answer your question, by chance? https://theeventscalendar.com/?qa_faqs=how-can-i-place-the-map-featured-image-below-the-event-description-instead-of-above If I understand correctly that’s the same issue. Let me know if not.
