Rob
MemberHey Benjamin. Thanks for the note here. Any chance another plugin or your theme is conflicting? That’s my bet, since this is an isolated issue that nobody else has reported yet. Are you in an environment where you can deactivate those and revert the theme back to default 2011, to see if that’s the cause here?
Rob
MemberThanks for the heads up, Patrick. Let me have one of our devs double check on this and if it’s indeed a legit bug we’ll get it patched for 2.1. If not, we’ll see if we can provide a workaround for your instance here.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear you got this figured out one way or another, Nicholas. Assuming you’re set here (though let me know if not). Otherwise if you need anything else or have any other questions, let us know…we’ll be happy to do what we can.
January 13, 2012 at 8:47 am in reply to: Grid calendar showing last month instead of current month in the drop-down #13331Rob
MemberWhich issue, Corey? The Shopp conflict specifically or just the last month item in general?
Rob
MemberHappy to help as your questions keep coming, Dale. These are both interesting suggestions. While I don’t have a solution off-hand, I’ve asked our dev Jonah to chime in with anything he might be able to suggest.
Rob
MemberHey Seth. This is confirmed as an issue; we have it in the system as a 2.1 fix so we’re hoping to get something out over the next month or so. In the interim, though, let me see if one of our advanced devs can offer up a short-term solution (though no guarantees one exists yet).
Rob
MemberHi Jessica. Are you running 2.0.3 of both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO? And did you re-save your permalinks upon activation? There’s also the possibility that another plugin is conflicting; since I see your site is still in progress, it would definitely be helpful to know whether you still have this issue after deactivating other plugins (and reverting to the default 2011 theme as needed). I can get a dev to chime in from there if no resolution is reached though. Let me know.

MemberHey Vince. Thanks for reporting this and sorry to hear that you’re having issues. Not sure how to resolve this myself, but let me see if our dev Jonah has any suggestions. I’ll get him to respond here today.

MemberRight. Unless I’m misunderstanding your request, what I suggested above will do just that. You need to check the box to enable them though. That’s the only way to get the dropdown to appear pre-selected when setting up a new event.
Rob
MemberHey Tony. We talked this over internally here and what you’re requesting is custom work that would be a rather time consuming task to put accomplish; one that unfortunately falls outside the realm of support we’re able to offer for a $50 plugin.
Since this is a customization related item, it’s inevitably going to require some basic coding skill to implement. At this point our best suggestion would be to either see if other forum users can assist with this, or hire a developer for an hour or two to take care of it directly.
I realize this is probably not the answer you were hoping to hear and my apologies for not being able to provide more. Please let me know if you have any other questions on this.
Rob
MemberThanks Sam. Jonah was also not sure what caused this so I’ve asked the dev who built the APM to begin with. Stay tuned.
Rob
MemberThanks for confirming, Jason. Glad to see we were able to get that taken care of. Let us know what else we can do.
Rob
MemberThanks for taking a look Jonah. From what I can tell this is an issue specific to your setup, Jason, likely related to the theme or another plugin. We’ll get another dev to take a look but no guarantees that they’ll be able to identify what’s up. Fingers crossed…
Rob
MemberJason: just a heads up that since Jonah was also unclear what the issue was here, I’ve passed this on to another dev so they can respond directly.

MemberHi Scott. Thanks for the note and sorry to hear that you’re having issues. A couple points on this:
* Since 1.6.5 was the final 1.x free release, you should probably update to that before jumping to 2.0. We only tested against the 1.6.5 migration (nothing earlier) when launching 2.0, so to ensure everything goes smoothly I’d get that first. You can update from the backend of your WP install or right here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-events-calendar/download/.
* Make sure to back up your site before jumping from 1.6.5 -> 2.0, just to be safe.
* If you can, rename the existing events folder so that the new one doesn’t create a conflict.Let me know if after following these steps, you’re still having issues and we can keep looking into it from there. Thanks!
