MemberExcellent. I expect you’ll get a response today, and no later than tomorrow.
Rob
MemberSo you want a search built into the Events page that just searches event data? Would it pull in venues/organizers too?

MemberHey Trevor. Should have a response for you today. Apologies for the delay thus far, we generally don’t get on the forums over the weekends.
Rob
MemberYou guys are doing great work…thanks to both Samuel and Graeme for sharing their sites. It’s so exciting to see sites going live taking vastly different approaches to the plugin and you guys are prime examples of that. Solid job and thanks again for sharing.

MemberHey Marc. I believe you posted this in another thread, right? Let’s keep the discussion going over there so as to avoid confusion. Thanks!
Rob
MemberHey Will. Looks like this was a dupe of another thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/calendar-view-reporting-incorrect-url-2/), so let’s keep the discussion going over there for consistency sake. Cheers!
Rob
MemberThanks for the support so far, Samuel – you are correct in that we try to take weekends offline to maintain our work/life balance here. Appreciate you stepping in for us in the interim 🙂
Christopher: let me see if one of our debs has a suggestion on that last point you raised. Should be able to at least point you in the right direction.
Rob
MemberHi there Will. We’d be happy to help you out here. Can you point me to someplace where we can see this permalink misreporting in action, though? I’m not quite sure I understand what’s up there and want to be fully clarified before I bring it to the devs. Any elaboration on there would be awesome, and would definitely help us find a resolution on this more quickly.
Rob
MemberHey 3dgraphics. We should be able to help you out here; let me get our dev Jonah to take a look. Expect a response from him over the next 24 hours.
Rob
MemberThanks for the heads up here, Sam. That probably needs to be changed – let me see what the dev has to say and we’ll get this fixed (however we can) from there.
Rob
MemberHey Dennis. Thanks for the words, and for the follow-up here. I think I understand the issue now: you’re saying that in the grid widget, when you go to look at an event (let’s say on your site, the Weekly Meeting on 1/25)…you’re saying that clicking the “25” doesn’t take you into the entry?
If so, this is the intended behavior of the plugin…you’d need to hover over the “25” until you see “Weekly Meeting,” then click the “Weekly Meeting” link itself. This is done so that if there are multiple events on a given date, clicking the date itself wouldn’t be a problem (ie not knowing which of those multiple events to take you to). Let me know if I’ve misunderstood the request here and I can elaborate as needed.
Rob
MemberHi Marc. Thanks for the follow-up; glad to see you’ve made some progress on this.
On your outstanding points:
1. This is configurable under Settings -> The Events Calendar; is the link pointing to /events, or /events/upcoming on the frontend?
2. This is actually the default behavior of the plugin (featured images don’t show in list view), but it should be possible to alter the code slightly to make this possible. I’ve asked our dev Jonah to chime in here with a suggestion on this directly.Let us know about these and we’ll do what we can to assist.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear! Thanks for confirming, Suzanne. If you need anything else in the future just let us know, and we’ll do what we can to assist.

MemberHi there Wylbia. While such functionality isn’t one of the views available out of the box (standards are just single day/week/month views), you could make this possible with a bit of work on your end. Have you checked out our walkthrough on how to fully customize widgets (https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-completely-customize-widgets/)? If that doesn’t help, let me know and I can get Jonah – they dev who wrote that article – to chime in here directly.

MemberAppreciate you pointing this one out, too. Not sure what’s up here but let me get a dev to confirm and to log an issue for fixing in 2.1 if there’s something at play here.
At this point, the only way to use code on the forum is < code > as a tag. Ie:
This is my code.
What’s problematic about it? Let me know and I’ll see what can be done about resolving it, since we’re always doing work here and there on the forum architecture. -
