Comments on articles being assigned to events – URGENT

I have another major issue with my site that I think may be related to this plugin. When a comment is made on an article, the comment gets assigned to an event. It seems to be the same event which I cannot find a correlation to the post at all. If I put that event back as a draft is just goes to a different event. If I disable the comments in the event commenting on the article are not allowed. As a side note, we have never been successful in getting the comment field to show up in the events. This plugin simply does not play well with our theme, Continuum. The post ID and event ID are different. How is this issue even possible?

Can you please give us some insight as to what may be causing this? The site is slated to go live in a day!!!
