MemberAh, excellent to hear…glad you got that resolved and apologies for the inconvenience in the downtime. Let us know if anything else comes up.
Rob
MemberHey Mike. Thanks for the follow-ups. Great to hear you’ve been thinking about this stuff in-depth. We’ll certainly be able to make some improvements as a result.
For these:
#8 – Yup, this is on the radar to be addressed. Right now only admins have the power.
#9 – Not sure I understand this one. Can you elaborate?
#1 – Heh…see #9 response.
#2 – Ah, I understand now. This scrollbar is probably worth adding for new posts, yes. I’ll make a note.
#3 – I could see the value here. Right now we’re just having people link to the specific entry (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/forum-problems/#post-14026) if they want to see the latest.
#4 – No response 🙂
#5 – Excellent to hear.
#6 – Good to know. I’ll run this by the team and see if anyone has any objections.
#7 – Ditto #6. Probably worth adding and can’t be too hard to do.Let me know what else comes up! Thanks again for your thoughts.

MemberHi Karen. Thanks for the follow-up here. We discussed this at our internal dev meeting today, and we’re unfortunately just not in a position to provide this degree of support on the plugin. While we’re always willing to do what we can here on the forums, when it comes to reaching out to hosts or doing work directly we’re not equipped to handle that as a distributed team behind a $50 plugin.
I’m really sorry we can’t offer up anything more here. If your host has any questions specific to the install or code of Events Calendar PRO, I would definitely be happy to provide them with that and answer any configuration questions they may have. But contacting another host and working with them on an issue as deep as this is unfortunately not possible.
Let me know if you have any other questions here. Thanks in advance for understanding.

MemberAh, that’s a solid suggestion. This is another one that’s a tad outside my area of expertise but let me see if Joey has any comments on why we’re doing it as we do (and whether we’d be able to change it). I’ve sent this his way.
Rob
MemberThanks for providing that, Brittany. I’m seeing the issue and wonder if it may have something to do with some of the customization that’s been done. The dropdown for selecting the day, for example; is that just done taking advantage of the plugin’s built in recurrence, or did you code something or use a third party plugin to make that happen?
You wouldn’t happen to have a testing environment where you could attempt deactivating plugins and reverting to another theme for testing purposes, would you?
Rob
MemberAlright, no prob. Thanks for confirming. Let me see if Jonah has any ideas.
Rob
MemberHey Timothy. The best way to do it without any dev would be to just use the before/after HTML options on the Settings -> The Events Calendar page. Have you played around with those at all?
Rob
MemberNo prob. The UTC time zone issue is a bug; we just identified it this morning after another user brought it to our attention; it’ll be fixed in 2.1. Though of course it’s always probably wise to check the forum or email support a quick question before purchasing if you’re curious as to whether a plugin has a bug or not…save yourself some time 🙂 Email rob at tri.be and I’ll process your refund.
Rob
MemberThank you Maeda! Emailed you back already, but just wanted to extend a public thanks for your help.
Rob
MemberHey Eric. Not sure how this thread slipped through the cracks, as we hit the forum daily…sorry about that. Grace is correct in that the overall WP settings for your site do dictate how events paginate, and without some hackery there is no way to unlink those.
Rob
MemberHey Mike. Thanks for the note here. We actually didn’t create this from scratch; we’re using a modded version of BBPress here, but the architecture is all BBPress. That being said we definitely realize there is room for improvement here and have a few of these fixes already done on dev and awaiting deployment when we next push to live.
To address your points:
#1. Yup, a few users have brought this up. Easy workaround is to just use < code > instead of { code }, as it’s the only one that works for the time being.
#2. This is browser-specific. In Chrome, for example (where I’m writing my response now), I see a scroll bar and a little drag-and-drop option in the lower right to make the box as large or small as I wish to.
#3. Solid suggestion. Not sure whether we’ll change this anytime soon (since some people want to see the full thread when selecting from the list, and there’d be no way for them to decide when clicking whether to go to the first or last)…but I can definitely see the value of this.
#4. This is done and awaiting deployment. There will just be a little “unsubscribe” box you hit. Probably will be live sometime next week.
#5. The easiest way to do this would be to just click on your name (ie https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/users/mike-salway/) and you can see all posts from a given user.
#6. Ha, funny you should mention that…we actually went back and forth when deciding on this and ended up taking the same route as our old forum, which showed the last response instead of the author. Given your note here we may re-evaluate this down the line though.
#7. I can see the value in this. No guarantees on when it’ll make it in but I suspect we’ll incorporate this at some point.Awesome feedback so far. Keep it coming 🙂

MemberThis is a nice little hack, Mike – thanks for sharing. Let me review it with the team and unless anyone sees a reason not to, we’ll try and work it in for the 2.1 (or subsequent) release.
Rob
MemberHappy to do what we can. Sorry we haven’t been able to offer up more yet. Stay tuned…
Rob
MemberHey Trevor. Thanks for the heads up here; are you running 2.0.3 of both versions? This was a problem in 2.0.2 but should be fixed now.
Note that if an event was created before the 2.0.3 update, it may still have this issue. Best way to test would be on newly-created issues post-2.0.3. I’m unable to recreate this; can you give it another go on new events and let me know if it persists? I’ll bring a dev in as needed from there.
Rob
MemberHey Marcos. Not sure if it’s a bug or not; as per my previous note, I can try and identify it but will need some more information to go off. Please provide that which I’d requested in my last message and I can take a look.
If you don’t want to, sure…I can give you a refund. Email rob at tri.be.
