    Hi there shimatorabi. Thanks for the follow-up here; Barry informed me of your troubles and I wanted to reach out personally to check in on this and try and get things sorted for you. Let me apologize for the poor experience you’ve had so far. We work hard to build great products and to make our customers happy. It sincerely pains us all when we are unable to provide adequate support.

    Unfortunately, it appears that your needs exceed our capacity. We cannot build people’s sites or customizations for them; what we can do is try to point people in the right direction and empower them to make changes/customizations themselves (or provide a list of names of folks they can hire to do so). I see in this thread on a number of occasions Barry has done his best to do just that. I wish there was more we could do but the truth be told, we’re all quite busy and can’t afford to offer the level of support that you are looking for.

    Ultimately it sounds like your needs are outside the scope of what we can help with. To that end, I suggest we offer you a refund and allow you to take your business to a plugin shop that can better serve you. Would you mind forwarding your receipt to pro (a) tri.be so we can get that processed for you?

    Hey again Jonathan. I spoke to our lead developer on Community Events this afternoon, and he looked into this for us. Looks like the best approach for doing this on the Community form would be to override the modules/venue.php template. Then change line 173 to:

    https://gist.github.com/anonymous/7125938

    It isn’t currently possible in the admin, but you do raise a good point about the fact that this isn’t as easy as it should be. I’ve created a ticket to add filters in a subsequent release that take care of this. In the interim though, please let me know if the above solution gets you where you want to be. Thanks!

    Hey Jonathan: just wanted to give you a heads up on things here. Casey is out (in Ethiopia!) for the next week or so, but the forum will be monitored by Julie from our team in his absence – and I’ll be checking on this one personally for you to ensure it keeps moving. I’ve just fired off a checkin to our lead dev here and will keep you posted as to what comes back.

    Thanks for your patience so far on this end, and hope all else is well. Let me know if you need anything else in the interim.

    Hey mkreaden! I’m so sorry but this thread appears to have slipped through the cracks; I just noticed it today in doing a sweep to close out stale threads. My sincere apologies that we failed you on that end.

    Are you still stuck here? If so, please let us know and we’ll get you a reply in as timely a fashion as possible.

    Hey mrsreeder. That’s an odd situation; I just tested locally, and I’m not seeing the same on my end — is it possible one of these filters from the advanced post manager above the event list itself (http://d.pr/i/fYkN) is impacting the list below? Or is it possible that an ongoing recurring event was inadvertently created somehow and sits in draft format?

    Let me know if not and we’ll try to get you sorted.

    Hey there Ebrahim-Khalil. Are your events tagged + categorized? If you’ve got either in play the related functionality should show. Let me know if I’m misunderstood here.

    Hi Catherine. Thanks for the follow-up; I’m sorry we missed this. We actually don’t get notifications for private replies, nor do they show up as unaddressed in the main forum thread – please do not use that functionality unless there is a specific reason (ie sending over credentials or a link you don’t want publicly seen). It is not meant to be a means of carrying on a discussion.

    You can totally feel free to contact Jonah directly, but please be aware that he is A) no longer a member of the team and B) may not have bandwidth to take on a development project. We certainly do have a list of freelance developers that you could use in his stead though, check it out:

    * WerkPress (http://www.werkpress.com)
    * WP Valet (http://thewpvalet.com/)
    * Ryan Neudorf (http://ohryan.ca/)
    * Treefort (http://treefort.net/)
    * Cheeky Monkey (http://cheekymonkeymedia.ca/)
    * The Mighty Mo! (http://www.themightymo.com/)
    * David Bisset (http://www.davidbisset.com/)
    * Donald Grover (http://groverwebdesign.com/)
    * Chris Miller (http://launchbrigade.com)

    Keep in mind that if none of these shops/freelancers meet your needs, youu can also check out the professionals list at CodePoet (http://directory.codepoet.com/browse/). WordPress also has a Jobs page that you might find valuable: http://jobs.wordpress.net/.

    My apologies once more for the delay in getting you a reply here; that was a failing on our end due to the architecture of the forum here and you should know we’ve got a new forum queued up to deploy here very shortly. If you need anything else or have other questions please don’t hesitate to let us know.

    You are correct here, guys – we dropped the ball when this got moved and I apologize for failing you on that end. I’ve reprioritized this with one of our more dev-minded support specialists and will have him get you a reply here in as timely a fashion as possible. (Since it’s outstanding, know this is among our most urgent support tickets at the moment and we’ll treat it like such in scheduling our replies).

    Thanks a lot for your patience so far.

    Hi there jodiederome. Thanks for posting this, and my apologies for the inconvenience! This definitely sounds like an unpleasant issue. This does sound like an issue unique to your setup; I’m unable to recreate it locally and I haven’t seen any other reports to this same effect.

    I see you’re running WordPress 3.4.2; is there a reason? The minimum WP version this plugin runs smoothly on is WordPress 3.5. My guess is you’re going to continue having problems until you can update to a more current version. Might you be in a position to do so?

    Hey there Neil! Good catch here; I just fired this up on my test install and I’m seeing the same thing. Oddly enough we had this as a bug in our pre-3.0 beta code, and we fixed it there, but it appears to be rearing its head once more.

    I’ve got this logged in our central ticketing system, so we should have a fix deployed in an upcoming maintenance release for sure. Thanks again for the heads up and for your patience until then. If we can do anything else, please let me know.

    Sorry we couldn’t do more for you on our end, Ballroom Dance Teachers College! Please do let us know if we can either help Woo in their diagnosis of this, or if you need anything else from us down the road. We really appreciate your support.

    Hey aurelio. We can definitely try to help you out here as best we can; but do you have a link where we can check this out in action? The code you provided is helpful but a link would be the best path to a diagnosis.

    Send that over and we’ll do our best to get you a response in as timely a fashion as possible. Thanks for your patience so far!

    Hi there ivanmihov. I appreciate your follow-up on this. We indeed do have quite a few people requesting how to do this; while we try to help them out as best we can in terms of pointing them in the right direction, ultimately this is a customization because its running counter to how the plugin is designed. The plugin is built with the goal of creating a dedicated /events page (or whatever slug you define) and including the calendar there.

    That said, the docs should be enough to point you in the right direction. But tell me: are you looking to do this for photo view, or calendar view? I see you mention one in the title and the other in your description, and want to make sure I fully understand the issue.

    in reply to: Venue URL slugs missing when upgrading from Community to PRO #67914

    Hi there matsokoloff. I apologize that we took until now to get you a reply on this, and from the sounds of it that we may have delayed your upgrade by failing to get you a response in as timely a fashion as possible.

    This is a really weird behavior, and admittedly you’re the first person I’ve ever seen report it. I’m assuming you’re creating these venues from within events, and rather than under Venues -> Add New on the backend? I’m wondering if something is simply preventing the venue slug from saving adequately.

    Does this occur even after you flush your permalinks? Can you confirm once more that this occurs even in the most stripped down, basic environment (no other plugins + Twenty Thirteen)? The reason I ask is that even there I’m unable to recreate.

    Let me know, though, and I can try to troubleshoot in as timely a fashion as possible from there.

    Hi there Catherine. Thanks for the follow-up. Admittedly, the TBD thing is going to be sort of tough (as Jonah noted in his last reply). While it would probably be doable by hacking at the core plugin, that’s not something we generally advise nor is it something we’d be able to provide support on. The plugin is structured in such a way that it needs the event date/time info complete with accurate information, for everything to function properly.

    Regarding the second point: did you see Julie’s follow-up at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/change-datetime-format/#post-66892, which I’m assuming is the same question asked again? She raises a good point that in certain situations this new formatting could make little sense…
