This is a super solid idea. I wouldn’t be surprised if other users have already found a way to hack it together – I can think of a couple sites in our Showcase thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/showcase-2-0/) that may already have what you’re going for. Have you checked that out and maybe considered reaching out to the devs behind those sites to see if they have any ideas to point you in the right direction?

If not, I suspect something like this will eventually make its way into the plugin. A vote for it over at our “Feature Requests” thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/) couldn’t hurt either…

Hey Chris. Roughly within the next month or so; it’s very possible this will be fixed in 2.0.5, which we’re pushing to have out over the next couple weeks. If you want to let me know if the bug is fixed for you upon updating to 2.0.5 I could report that to the dev team accordingly.

Hey Emmanuel. Happy to help here. Awesome to hear you got the widget aspect figured out.

    On the calendar page:

    * I’m not seeing the venue anywhere in grid view? Let me know if I’ve missed something here.
    * Adding a venue to the hover balloon is outlined here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/calendar-view-hover-balloons/#post-16232.
    * You can customize the category colors here, as detailed in this post: https://theeventscalendar.com/coloring-your-category-events/

    On the Events page:

    * We don’t have anything officially supported to allow for posting on social sites, but there are definitely third-party plugins out there that should allow for it, as could a service like Add-To-Any or something similar.
    * Tickets functionality is coming with the Eventbrite add-on that we’re working on now. It is on track to be live sometime this month.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if anything was unclear or if you have any follow-ups. Also, one request: down the road would you mind logging separate issues as separate threads, rather than all together in one? Makes it easier for our devs to respond that way. Thanks in advance!

Hey Jason. Believe I’ve already addressed this in our email exchange; just commenting to make sure you got a response and didn’t have a lonely thread up on the site here 🙂

    Awesome! Thanks Jonah.

Scott: glad to see you were able to get this functional. If we can do anything else, please let me know.

Fabien: sounds like the core issue here is resolved, right? Just want to make sure.

As to your other issue: we generally don’t delete threads, so that doesn’t sound like the cause. Have you tried clicking your name (here within the thread) to see a list of all the posts you’ve started? If you can’t find the existing thread feel free to create a new one.

Excellent! If you need anything else after giving it a go, Catherine, just holler.

Hey Thomas. You definitely don’t want to have multiple versions active at once. To be fully functional here you should just have – from your plugins list – The Events Calendar 2.0.4 and Events Calendar PRO 2.0.4 active. You can have past versions, ie 1.3.x, present but deactivated without issue.

Does that help answer your question? Let me know if not and I can keep looking into this for you. Thanks!

Ah, I think I understand the issue here. Thanks Tony. While this is outside my area of expertise, I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look and comment directly. Hopefully he can offer something up. Stay tuned!

Hey Jean-Philippe. We’re aware of an issue along these lines that occurs when a user is running their site on UTC time. Can you send a screenshot of your time zone settings, and any other information you may have about the time zone, so I can identify if this is related to that existing bug?

The bug-in-question, meanwhile, will be fixed in 2.0.5. We’re on track to have that out sometime this month.

Hey guys. That does look to be our plugin in use there, but the frontend submission element appears to have been built by the web shop specifically. Have you checked in whether they may be able to help you? They’re at: http://summitdesignstudio.com/. (That IS definitely a solid looking calendar you linked to Filip).

Our official support for how to do this will come with the Community Events release later this month.

Hey Ken. Could you just reset the address info by going into the actual saved venue entry on the backend (under Events -> Venues), or have I misunderstood here?

Hey there Ken. Thanks for the note here. This one is a known issue we’ve got in the works for 2.0.5. The code is actually complete, so if this is a major issue for you (and you don’t mind running with 2.0.5 beta code, which we can’t provide support on for obvious reasons) feel free to email pro /a/ tri.be with a link to this thread. I’ll hook up that current beta code from there.

Otherwise, stay tuned a couple more weeks as 2.0.5 should be out by the end of the month. Sorry for the inconvenience in the interim.

Hi Logan. Thanks for confirming; I am seeing the issue there. This is certainly a doozy. Have you modified the roles/capabilities for this site at all? Either manually or via a third-party plugin? That’s what my dev thinks would be the root here but let me know so we can try to identify what’s up.
