Events only display when logged in

    A strange thing indeed, the events on both the calendar and upcoming events widget show nothing unless I am logged in. Events are not set to private.
    “There are no upcoming events at this time.”

    Any history of this issue?

    Hey Logan. Very odd; this is the first I’ve heard of this issue but that is certainly not to say it isn’t a legitimate bug. Can you link me to your site (and to a specific event URL if possible) so I can give this a go?

    Hi Logan. Thanks for confirming; I am seeing the issue there. This is certainly a doozy. Have you modified the roles/capabilities for this site at all? Either manually or via a third-party plugin? That’s what my dev thinks would be the root here but let me know so we can try to identify what’s up.

    Thanks for the speed Rob and team. You are absolutely correct, I must have missed it when checking for plugin conflicts. I had Role Scoper installed (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/role-scoper/) but I do not think I had really started configuring it yet.

    Do any role/capability changes effect ECP in unexpected ways?

    Hey man. Awesome to hear you were able to figure that out, thanks for confirming.

    We do have some cleaned-up behaviors with regards to roles/capabilities in the works for 2.0.5, but in general as-is nothing unexpected should happen as we’re using core CPT permissions. Hope this helps!
