Excellent. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more for you at this point, Todd. Feel free to check in along the way if you have any questions on timeline, etc. Have a great weekend.

Hey David. Thanks for reaching out! Have you checked our template tag documentation, available here (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/)? From what I can tell by reading your note above, it should point you in the right direction towards getting this done. But let me know if not and I can look into it further for you.

    Thanks!

Hey Robbin. Thanks for the note here. This is unfortunately a known issue with the current release; when titles or event descriptions are too long, they cannot be processed on the Google Calendar side. We’re working to fix this for 2.1 and will be re-engineering our iCal/Google Calendar integration quite a bit so the experience overall should be much improved.

I apologize I couldn’t offer up more in the interim, though. I would say if you can go shorter on the title/description (my guess is it’s the former in this case) it should be able to tide you over until official functionality is there.

Hey Patti! Thanks for the heads up, and the solid explanation of your issue. This one at first glance doesn’t look like it’d be too hard to tweak…but let me get Jonah to take a look and respond directly, as he’s better versed in these items than I am. Stay tuned.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for confirming as much – looks like this is indeed an issue with the current release. While 2.0.5 is already tagged and awaiting release, I have logged this for 2.1. Thanks for the heads up here, Jen, and apologies for the inconvenience for the time being.

Excellent. Thanks for confirming; we do have a known issue with permalinks turned off where it causes problems….that’s a high priority item for our 2.1 code base and so we should have a fix coming when that is released. Apologies for the inconvenience in the interim though. Please let me know if I can do anything else or if you’ve got any other questions.

Awesome. Jonah will comment when he hits the forums today too, if he has any ideas.

Hey Roberto. Thanks for reaching out. That’s not a default behavior of the plugin, so if you’re seeing issues with it my guess is that something else is at play. Have you made sure you’re running the latest tagged 2.0.4 release for both plugins, and that another plugin isn’t conflicting here? First I’d also turn on pretty permalinks and test as that’d be my first guess as to what’s up.

Let me know that proceeds and we can investigate further accordingly on our end.

Excellent to hear. Let us know how it proceeds. I also see you sent me an email on the Eventbrite stuff which I’ll follow-up on separately in a few.

Ah, excellent to hear you got this resolved. We have found that the PRO one does sometimes take longer to hit a user’s site than the one on the WordPress.org repo. Weird that you’d be experiencing this late in the game (since 2.0.4 has been live a while already) but it’s definitely possible.

If you encounter any other weird issues along these lines, let us know and we can keep looking into them.

Hey Cory. We can try to help you out here, sure. So you’re saying you just want the “Events” admin item on the left-hand backend admin menu to read something else? Let me see if our dev Jonah has any ideas here. I’m not aware of how to do it offhand.
