David
ParticipantI would like to know if you can put specific category events on a page.
For instance, I have sports events and I want to put the softball events on the softball page. Kind of like having the Events List Advanced Widget, but for a specific category, and in a page.
Possible?
Thanks,

MemberHey David. Thanks for reaching out! Have you checked our template tag documentation, available here (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/)? From what I can tell by reading your note above, it should point you in the right direction towards getting this done. But let me know if not and I can look into it further for you.
Thanks!

ParticipantRob,
It looks like all of what I read on that page is about creating code, or addig code into pages. It looked a bit above where I am. Not that I’m not going to edit code. I do do it using firebug and creating child themes, but I didn’t see anything in there that pertains to what I want to do: list specific categoy events on a specific page. The only thing i saw regarding categories was color-coding them. That looks handy, but not what I am looking for. Any other ideas?
Also, I am still wanting to know how to place the small calendar into a sidebar. How do I do that? Turoials, specific instructions?
Thanks,

ParticipantRob, I’m also still seeing an event name in the breadcrumbs instead of the page name, which is Calender. Have no idea where that is coming from.

ParticipantHey David, regarding pulling in a specific events category into a page, we do cover this in the documentation right here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/the-events-calendar-template-tags-general-functions/#functiontribe_get_events (check out the 3rd query example)
As for placing the small calendar in a sidebar that is just a matter of assigning the Mini Calendar widget to a sidebar.
For the breadcrumbs that’s a little more complex and the solution depends on what theme you’re using or breadcrumb plugin. You’re probably going to need to conditionally check for the specific event pages and set the breadcrumb accordingly…
