MemberHi there Steven,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about this issue. Let’s fix it!
It looks like you may not have actually downloaded Events Calendar Pro for your site. This is a separate plugin, and requires the free version of The Events Calendar to remain installed and active on your site. You can get this by going to My Account » Downloads on our site.
Install and active this plugin by uploading the zip file to your WordPress site. Once activated, go to WP-Admin » Events » Settings » Licenses and add the license.
The confusion here is that our additional service of importing events, known as Event Aggregator, displays another field in the free version where you can add a license. Sorry about that!
Please let me know if this solves the issue,
Best,
NicoNico
MemberHey Eric,
Sorry for the delay on my end! Try pasting the snippet below in your theme’s (or child theme’s) functions.php file:
https://gist.github.com/niconerd/2b5cac81d3a936eb1c653ebb56395076
Once the snippet is in place it will close the filterbar on page load if the hide_filters parameter is present in the URL (for example: http://sitename/events/?hide_filters=1).
Hope this helps,
Best,
NicoNico
MemberHi there Dom,
Thanks for getting in touch with us! Let me say there’s no way of adding a ‘featured artist’ widget nor there was an option to do so in the past. That said, let’s take a closer look at this, maybe there’s other things that might work for you 🙂
Can you please let me know a bit more about ‘artists’? Is this the name you are giving to organizers maybe? If not is it another post type you crated?
Please let me know about it,
Best,

MemberThanks for the updated instructions Shane! I was able to reproduce it now.
The curios find is I couldn’t reproduce this with UTC+10 Brisbane (which I tried yesterday), but I could with UTC+10 Sydney (today). I guess there might be a summer time change in effect.
Anyway thanks for the update, hope we can fix this very soon 🙂
I’ll keep you updated,

MemberThanks for following up and sorry to hear about this Ross!
But it’s impossible to actual re-buy a license to update the PRO plugin once it has been refunded on your website. I’ve tried for 20-minutes and I end up in a circular route of pages. What should I do?
I see you could finally buy a new license. I’ll send this information to the website team. Just to clarify you were trying to re-buy the same license that was refunded?
Please let me know about it,
Best,
NicoNico

Thanks so much for the update, and sorry for the delay in my reply! Looks like this thread was out of my radar (I probably set the wrong status after I replied, really sorry about this).
Anyway I’m glad our extension helped you out 🙂

MemberHi there Shane,
Thanks for the patience so far! Hopefully this issue has been slated for next maintenance release. The thing is we cannot reproduce this anymore, it seems it has been solved by some other code change.
Can you please update the plugins and let me know if this is fixed for you as well? In case you are still seeing the issue can you please send the exact same instructions to test this you are using? Right now I’m changing my computer timezone to UTC-10 and then browsing the event page (month view) and switching to a different month.
Please let me know about this,
Best,
NicoNico
MemberThanks for the heads-up Susan! Glad to hear the issue is not present anymore.

MemberThanks for following up Ross!
The snippet should go inside your theme or child theme functions file (wp-content/themes/theme_or_child_theme_folder/functions.php). Please note the PHP opening tag in the first line of the snippet might not be necessary if there’s no closing tag before you paste the snippet. More information can be found here → Adding Code to Your Site When You’re Not a “Coder”
Hope that helps,
