What you need is possible by using Events Calendar PRO widget shortcodes! You can also embed full calendar views into pages, posts or products in this case but I guess it would be an overkill for your use case!

We still don’t have a firm release date for this feature, and as it has been delayed a couple of times in the past I prefer not to do any guesses. What I can say is that is on our road map and we are slowly getting there. The reason for the delays and the uncertainty in dates, is basically that this feature needs a restructure of how recurring events work. This means a lot of code re-factor and re-testing to make sure we don’t bork any of the current functionality of recurring events.

Let me start by saying that the license key is not needed to use the plugin. Having a valid license key gives you access to support and automatic plugin updates but doesn’t modify how the plugin itself works.
Regarding the error, it might be a temporary error on the server not being available. But if you were getting the same message consistently I’d say it’s probably something else. Can you start by checking with your hosting company if they are blocking the access to our license validation server?

By default the only validation to allow a QR code checkin is that the user is logger in and can edit posts. You can override the default checkin method with your own using the snippet below:

Inspecting your site I see there are a couple of JavaScript errors in the browser console:

I’ve rechecked the same on my local and the URL is always updating when I change the month, so this seems to be caused by the theme or maybe by the first error about Google Fonts not being loaded by https. I suggest you start by fixing this error and then re-check!

To enable event views, like week view, you should go to ‘WP-Admin > Events > Settings > Display > Enable event views’ and tick the ones you would like to see on the front-end. Don’t forget to save changes once you selected the views.
