MemberHey Lukasz,
Thanks for getting in touch with us and for your interest in our products š
a) Iām interested in creating something like in Christ Church showcase (first slide ā https://theeventscalendar.com/showcase/christ-church/) with clear view of days arranged horizontally. Does it require any special implementation (ie. custom coding or themeing) or does it come with the plugin by default? Clientās request is to display whole month in this view but I personally think it would be more useful if the view was shortened to just a week with carousel functionality (like in Christ Church showcase). In this configuration ā is it possible to have items arranged in columns (āphoto viewā) or they must be arranged in list view from top to bottom?
The site you mention is using the Forgive theme which integrates with our plugins smoothly and that module seems to be a part of the theme. It’s surely not something included in our product out of the box. To see the different views included in The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO (week, photo and map views), take a look at our demo site.
b) What about submission process? Is it possible to limit submission process only to certain user accounts that donāt have full administrator privilages? Also, I donāt want anonymous submissions.
Event submissions are possible with Community Events add-on. You can disable anonymous submissions, and you can also block admin access to certain roles. If you want to limit access to certain user accounts that’s possible with a bit of code but not something you can do via the plugin options.
c) How does single event page customization work? Can I write my own templates to be used with your plugin? If so, what about plugin updates? Can I make it without modifying plugin files?
Sure, you can create your own version of the different front-end templates. We call these custom versions template overrides, and they are stored in your theme (or child theme) so they are safe from updates. Find more about this and other customizations in our themer’s guide.
Finally, while we don’t have a trial period you can go ahead and purchase the products for testing. If you decide they are not what you are looking for, you can ask for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. For more information take a look at our refund policy.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,
Best,
NicoNico
MemberThanks for following up Richard!
You can find the documentation for tribe_create_event here. And browser other functions documentation here. Apart from this, I’d recommend browsing the source code of the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/API.php, to understand the class methods which also contain the same information you’ll find in the technical docs section of the site.
As George stated above, we cannot help much with custom coding but if you have any doubts about the API functions feel free to ask about it.

NicoNico
... PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method Tribe__Events__Aggregator__Record__Activity::activity() in .../wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Aggregator/Cron.php on line 386 ... PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function count() on null in .../wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Aggregator/Record/Queue_Processor.php on line 194
Espero tus comentarios,
Saludos,

Saludos,
NicoNico
MemberStocked to hear Thomas!
Anyway to bump the list after a new post is added or at least not show that rather ugly message?
You can redirect users back to the event list by using the plugin here ā Redirect to different URL after event submission. If you want to show a message about the just posted event, then you can add a query string to the URL and then show a message via filter. Makes sense? Let me know and I can help if you think it’s a good solution.

MemberHi there Brian,
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
You should place the code in your theme’s (or child theme’s) functions.php file:
https://gist.github.com/elimn/1e6797dd1a5d8ee666c5
The sample above is a reference Cliff sent to the customer. Do you think you can tweak it as he explains? In case you are not sure about it let me know and I can help you out.

MemberHi there Bernhard,
Thanks for getting in touch with us! I’ve inspected the widget in the homepage vs the one in the page and they seem to be pretty much the same. I’m not seeing different colors and not sure about the H2 you mention. One thing you can do is switch the site theme to a default one like Tweenty Sixteen and re-test, as this might be due to some theme styling.
If this persists please send me a screenshot to clarify what’s the issue.
Please let me know about it,
Best,

MemberHi there Matt,
Thanks for getting in touch with us, and sorry to hear about this problem š
I just tested the plugin (Maintenance version 3.2) with default theme Tweenty Seventeen and The Events Calendar. Everything worked as expected, but I did see a JavaScript error in the browser console from a js file from the theme.
Not sure how the plugin works, or what are your site needs. Depending on these, you might want to tweak the plugin options a bit (maybe disable the front-end login form), reach out to them to see if they are aware of the problem or just use a different plugin to achieve the same.
Also, while I couldn’t find any other customers reporting problems with the plugin I could find some cases of other customers using it without trouble.
Please let me know about it,
Best,
NicoNico

MemberHey Derek,
I see you requested a refund for your licenses. As you won’t be able to follow-up with the thread anymore, I’m closing it.
If you are still interested in this functionality please open up a feature request at The Events Calendar user voice page, where we gather feedback from our community.
Thanks and best of luck with your project,

MemberHey Tom,
Those errors seem to be caused by the chars in the code. Can you try copying it over again from the gist below?
https://gist.github.com/niconerd/82db313919df6f7d6d330266baf5ead5
Also I don’t think the code needs to be wrapped around ‘is_user_logged_in’. In any case I made a test submitting an event with a non-logged in users and got no errors on my test site.
A nasty screen after a user adds an event with the publish right in the front end. User has to refresh the list to get the pretty view. Any solution? These folks will be power users so not the end of the world kind of thing.
This plugin will surely help out ā Redirect to different URL after event submission
Please let me know if the code works now,
Best,
NicoNico
MemberThanks for following up Clint!
Can you try to re-save the calendar display settings (WP-Admin > Events > Settings > Display > Save Changes)? This helped customers in the past having slightly different issues. Might help here as well.
Best we can tell it was in last update from events calendar.
If the above doesn’t work try downgrading the plugin to a past version that you know it was working or update to the just released maintenance release and see if it’s fixed. In any case (downgrade / upgrade) be sure to flush permalinks after re-installing the plugins (WP-Admin > Settings > Permalinks > Save Changes).
Hope this fixes it,
Best,
NicoNico
MemberExcelente!
Saludos y felices fiestas!

MemberHey Dan,
I’ve just replied to this same question here ā https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/first-day-of-week-setting-is-missing/
Iāll go ahead and close out this thread, let’s continue the conversation in the other one!

MemberHi there Dan,
Thanks for getting in touch with us! I can help you here š
The month view of our calendar has switched to using Monday as the first day of the week
Did you recall any recent changes that could affect this? Maybe installing a new plugin?
…the āFirst Day of Weekā setting as described here is not present on the General tab
I find this quite strange as this is a default WordPress setting and not something our plugin is adding.
Can you please try updating The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO to latest versions? Once that’s done, re-check to see if the setting is back. In case it’s not, Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.
Please let me know about it,
Best,
