Thanks for the message. Sorry to hear your users are having issues. I too can see the problem. So lets dig a little deeper to see what happening.

The calendar is suppose to have navigation at the bottom of the calendar for both the previous and coming month. When I look through the code on your site available to me in the inspector I can see that it is in fact being generated, so something must be knocking it out or conflicting with it.

First thing I would do is revert back to the twenty twelve default theme and see what the calendar looks like. If this reveals the navigation for the calendar again then we’ll know its the current theme knocking it out and we can see about finding a solution. If that doesn’t work I’d try deactivating all your plugins one by one and see if any of those are causing a conflict.

Once we get some info on what the site looked like after you try those two things we should be able to point you in the right direction and get your users back to navigating through all your events not just that months.

I just took a look at your site and it seems like the links are all working correctly now. Did you revert back to an older version of the plugin? If not did you figure out a work around? The way you described the issue sounds like a bug that has been found and the developers are working on a fix in time for the next maintenance update. I’ll update you as soon as its released

If you still need assistance in the mean time just let me know what your current status is (i.e. reverted to older version or created a work around)

Can you confirm if the button is there? Or if when you click it, it just doesn’t do anything?

It sounds like there may be a conflict with either you theme or maybe with another plugin. It would be really great to see if switching the theme back to a default theme for a few minutes gives us back the function of adding media. I haven’t heard of this issue yet with any other users so isolating the issue is really the best way to get you the help you need. You should be able to switch between themes without any loss of data, but if you are worried I’d first confirm with your themes support team just to be sure.

Thanks for the detailed update. So glad that you found the issue. I’d like to make sure that if this is an upgrade issue for other users too that we can provide a quick fix. I’m going to see if I can re-create that issue on our end. The correct behavior of the plugin is that it’s suppose to prompt you for that info. To help me recreate that do you remember what version of the plugin you were running before the upgrade?

The file you are specifically looking for is: events/views/single-event.php

In that file you will be looking for this code here:
<?php echo tribe_event_featured_image(); ?>
Simply go ahead and comment out this code and you should get the results you need. So it will look like this:
<!– <?php echo tribe_event_featured_image(); ?> –>
This should just remove the featured image from the top of the post page but you will still be able to use the featured image as a thumbnail for other parts of the plugin such as the calendar tooltip and related events at the bottom of the page.

Ok I get it now! Sorry for the confusion. So would a good solution for you to either:

a) Remove the featured image showing up at the top of the post but still leave the functionality for adding a featured image so that the default calendar image doesn’t show

or

b) Work on the placement of the image when it shows on top of the post?

Either way I can point you in the right direction, I’d just like to be clear and make sure I’m understanding correctly?

It looks like there’s more to this then just a double post. Whatever is being published below the original post, both looks terrible and looks like isn’t working (I tried playing with the sidebar widget and the month doesn’t seem to change.) I am going to see if I can go through this with a developer and see if we can dig a little deeper.

Just to confirm, you mentioned you’ve reverted to the 2011 theme, and that none of your plugins seem to be causing the conflict. If thats the case is what we are seeing live here the 2011 theme without any new templates added or customized?

Thanks for you note. I can see the issue your talking about on my end too, so hopefully we can point you in the right direction.

First of all the Events Calendar inherits its style from the theme unless you have some more specific styling somewhere in your stylesheets. So whats happening here is that its inheriting the style from elsewhere in your site.

In the CSS file “red.css” I noticed this on line 16:
.description{color:#ffffff;text-shadow:#880000 1px 1px 0;}

If you go ahead and edit this to something more readable just be aware that it will change the style anywhere else on the site that you are using .description
