MemberHi Alexander,
Thanks so much for volunteering to help out! We’d love to have you do a Russian translation for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO. Check out the Getting Started post where you’ll find the instructions and files you need (new files as of yesterday). When you’re done, just post the finished files here for me to test out.

MemberHi mediamatchstick,
You can download previous versions of Events Calendar PRO on your account’s downloads page (https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/). Be sure to also run it alongside The Events Calendar 3.6.1, which you can download from the WordPress Plugin Directory here. Those should get you all set to run 3.6.1 🙂
Do please note that we can only provide limited support for people running outdated versions of the plugin, and we do always recommend that you stay up-to-date with the latest version. I understand that your theme was designed to work with 3.6.1, but just keep that in mind if you need support in the future.

MemberAwesome, thanks so much! It’ll be great to have an updated translation of those plugins to share. I’m sure other Danish-speaking users will be appreciative!

MemberHi turisthusnord,
The reason you are seeing words in English is because the translation is really outdated. All of our plugins are translated by volunteers, and no one has worked on the Danish one in a while. The reason you don’t even see the strings in the .po file is because the .po file needs to be updated with the latest .pot file as described in step #6 in the Getting Started post.
Would you be interested in updating the whole Danish translation for both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO? That would fix your site and we’d give you a free license in exchange. If you are interested, check out the Getting Started post where you’ll find the instructions and files you need.

MemberHi young,
Thanks for your post, and especially for including that link so I could check this out. That Add Events button links to the default url for our Community Events plugin’s Add Event page. But I see that you do not have a license for Community Events.
I did notice, however, that The Events Calendar is built into your theme and that your theme was recently updated. The theme says that it is compatible with Community Events, so it’s possible that the last theme update added those buttons. In that case, they would be giving you 404s because you don’t have the corresponding pages that they link to.
The other possibility is that someone else is working on your site and added those buttons to the sidebar, but that seems less likely.
I recommend that you check out your Widgets page and see if there is a new widget that adds those buttons. If so, you can simply delete it. If there isn’t a widget there, you should email your theme’s developer and ask about this. They can probably point you towards how to remove the buttons.
Please let me know if the above helps and if there’s anything else I can do for you.

MemberHi xopom,
I was created from .pot file to English .po file successfully. But i can’t find front-end texts on .po file.
What texts on my created .po file? Is it just back-end (admin panel) texts?
If i need to translate front-end texts, i just need to use WordPress translate plugins?Did you make a .po file for both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO? I apologize, I should have specified that in my original post. Some of the strings are only in Events Calendar PRO, so they are only in the PRO .pot file (events-calendar-pro.pot). I think you’ll find all the strings you’re looking for in there.
I don’t want to edit and translate plugin files, when plugin is updated, all my works are gone.
If you make your changes using a template override your files won’t get overwritten. Please make sure to keep a copy of your modified .po files backed up somewhere other than in your WordPress files because they too could potentially get overwritten in an update.

MemberHi xopom,
Thanks for getting in touch. If you’d like an English .po file you can just open the .pot file (from the plugin’s /lang folder) and then save it as a .po called the-events-calendar_en_EN. That will automatically make a matching .mo file. You can use any language suffix you want, for example xx_XX – as long as you set the language in your wp-config.php file to match.
Please note that translating the front-end this way is not recommended. You can run into problems if the file gets overwritten in a version update. And the translation files change as we add to the plugin, so it can easily become outdated unless you regularly update it with the newest .pot file as described in the Getting Started post. You might check out a get_text function to change terminology on the front end, or a string-specific translation plugin like Say What?

MemberHi aovivo,
Thanks for that information. I think part of the issue here is that we have just fixed an issue with those strings. They were previously in the PRO translation file because they were PRO features, but they are now Core features and we needed to correct the translation files to reflect that.
You can download some updated German translation files for The Events Calendar here. You’ll need to add the correct translations to those and put them in your lang file. That won’t correct the issue right away, but once we release version 3.7 (which is coming very soon) that should properly translate those strings.

MemberHi slabadie,
Thanks for posting this. I’m not seeing that license in this user account- is it possible that you have two user accounts and the expired license is in the other account? If you got an email telling you about the expiration, let me know what email address it came to and I can look up your account. You can respond using the Private Reply function here in the forum or if you’d prefer you can email us at pro(at)tri.be. We can help you find that license and perhaps even get them in the same account if you’d prefer.
Thanks for your support!

MemberHi eb,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins! The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO, and WooCommerce Tickets are specifically designed to work together, so it is quite smooth. You can check out an example on our demo site.
It is definitely okay to use the Personal license. The license titles are descriptive, not rules- Personal is just what you need for a single site 🙂
Let me know if you have any further questions and I’d be happy to help out.

MemberHi grafixbiz,
I’m sorry you’re having trouble with The Events Calendar. Please note that this forum is only for people asking questions about our premium products. If you are having trouble with our core plugin and do not have a premium account, you’ll need to post in our open source forum.
Have you tried resaving your permalinks? Sometimes that can help with this sort of thing. Have you tried deactivating other plugins to look for a conflict, or switching to a default theme like Twenty Twelve? That would be the next step in troubleshooting. If you need help, please read this guide to testing for conflicts.
If you can isolate this as an issue that’s inherent to The Events Calendar, we’d be happy to look into it further in our open source forum. Unfortunately, we can’t help you to troubleshoot conflicts. If you do find a conflict, you can try getting in touch with the developer of the theme or plugin and see if they can shed some light on the issue.

Leah
