MemberHi Serena,
Thanks for your post! We do not have a specific add on to do this. But you can probably do it by using a third-party plugin that does emails when custom post types are created, since that’s what events are.
We also have a UserVoice thread for this feature so you can vote to have us add it in a future build. Adding your vote there will also allow you to stay updated as we work on it.

MemberHi aovivo,
I actually need to know which language you are using- the translations are all done by volunteers, and some of them are more outdated than others. Even if you just bought the plugin, the translation might have been done several version ago and now be outdated. Can you tell me the language code for the .po file you are using?

MemberHi nathanbaldwin,
Ok, we can do that. Please email the receipt from your purchase to pro(at)tri.be with a link to this thread. Then we will get the refund processed for you. My apologies again for my mistake.
Thank you,

MemberHi aovivo,
Can you tell me what language file you are trying to use? Some of the files are outdated and so that might be part of the issue. We also recently fixed some problems with those strings and I could help get the translation files updated for you.

MemberHi pknvelp,
All of our plugins are translated by volunteers, and no one has worked on the Dutch one in a while, so it’s outdated. The two issues you mentioned will probably be fixed if you update the .po file with the latest .pot file, as described in ourĀ Getting StartedĀ post.
You’re probably also seeing other strings that are not correctly translated, and we’d love to fix those. Would you be interested in updating the translation? That would fix your site and we’d give you a free license in exchange.Ā If you are interested, check out theĀ Getting StartedĀ post where you’ll find the instructions and files you need. If you are not able to translate it, you’ll unfortunately need to wait for someone else to update the files.

MemberHi Lexie,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins. Events Calendar PRO and the other add-ons are all separate purchases, so you would need to pay for the license on each one. I recommend that you check out our non-profit program, which provides free .zip files of the plugins to approved organizations. You wouldn’t have access to our support forums, but you would be able to use the plugins for free. Hopefully that will work for you š
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

MemberHi Thommy,
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand what it is that you are needing. There is no way to import events from individuals from Facebook because of the Facebook API. There may be some custom scripts for that purpose, but we are not able to help with that kind of thing.

MemberHi Peter,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins. Sorry about my goof with the private reply- I didn’t realize you wouldn’t have that option.
We currently are not using permalinks because of a bug in permalinks across the board
Just to confirm, do you mean that you are using the Default Permalinks setting as opposed to a Pretty Permalinks option?
We always recommend that people use Pretty Permalinks with The Events Calendar for best results. That said, if you did purchase PRO we would certainly do our best to get the RSS feed working alongside Default Permalinks. I checked with one of our developers who confirmed that it should be doable, but with a different structure than the usual events/feed. Does that answer your question?

MemberHi Pam,
Thanks for getting in touch. Sounds like a very cool idea! Our Community Events add-on allows visitors to submit their own events to the calendar. However, there is not a built in feature to collect payment for that or to feature those events. It’s a popular feature request though, and one we are considering adding in the future.
For now, I think your best bet for your client is trying to customize something. We can’t help with big customizations like this, but we do haveĀ documentationĀ to get you started. Good luck and thanks for using The Events Calendar! Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

MemberHi jrucker,
The most cost-effective way to do that would be to upgrade both of your current Personal level licenses to Business level. That would allow you to use the licenses on up to 3 sites total. When you upgrade from Personal to Business level, you get an automatic $50 off since you already paid for the Personal license. So upgrading both of your licenses would be $50 for a total of $100. Normally two Business level licenses would be $200, so you’re getting 50% off š Does that answer your question?

MemberHi Thommy,
Thanks for posting. With Facebook Events, you can import events from individuals by using the event’s Facebook ID number as described here. Because of limitations with Facebook’s API, the plugin does not allow you to automatically import events from individuals on a schedule, as you can with events from pages or organizations. But you can still import them manually using the event ID. Does that answer your question?

MemberHi aovivo,
Thanks for your post. We do have a custom recurring events option that allows you make events on a monthly or bimonthly schedules (for example on the first Thursday of every month or the 14th of every month). Would that work for you?
We are working on making our recurring events feature even more customizable, but at this time it is not possible to do a more random schedule. If you need to have recurring events that don’t follow a pattern, you will need to make individual events for each occurrence. In that case I recommend that you use a post-duplicating plugin so that you don’t need to recreate the information every time- just change the date.
I hope that workaround will work for you for now. We will continue to work on expanding the functionality of recurring events. If you’d like to stay updated on our progress, you can add your vote to the feature’s thread on ourĀ UserVoiceĀ page.
Best,
Leah
