ParticipantHi,
Missing danish translation in the calendar. Month view with more events on one day, than are shown. It say: “View All 5 Begivenheder”
I have been trying to find the missing translation in the po file, without any luck.
Any help are highly appriciated.
Thanks.

MemberHi turisthusnord,
The reason you are seeing words in English is because the translation is really outdated. All of our plugins are translated by volunteers, and no one has worked on the Danish one in a while. The reason you don’t even see the strings in the .po file is because the .po file needs to be updated with the latest .pot file as described in step #6 in the Getting Started post.
Would you be interested in updating the whole Danish translation for both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO? That would fix your site and we’d give you a free license in exchange. If you are interested, check out the Getting Started post where you’ll find the instructions and files you need.
Best,
Leah

ParticipantHi Leah
Thanks for the feedback. That make sense 🙂
Yep, I will check up on the danish translation, and report back here when it’s done.

MemberAwesome, thanks so much! It’ll be great to have an updated translation of those plugins to share. I’m sure other Danish-speaking users will be appreciative!
Best,
Leah

MemberHi HC,
Thank you so much for working on those translations. They all look great and I’ve added them to the plugins for the next release.
I double checked the issue with the “View All” link, and it turns out that the string is missing the necessary code to make it translatable. But thanks to you, we will get that fixed as soon as possible- hopefully in the next release. Then it will be available in the .po file.
Meanwhile, you can probably use a a string-specific translation plugin like Say What? to translate just that bit of English. I apologize for any inconvenience. Thanks again for your work on the translations and bringing this little bug to our attention.
I see that you already have a license for PRO and Filter Bar- would you like to try one of our other plugins? Since you earned a free license for all your hard work 🙂
Best,
Leah

ParticipantHi Leah,
Okay, good to know, that it is not me who is blind 🙂
I have tried the Say what? plugin, but can’t get it to work. I suspect that it might have something to do with the text-domain not being correct.
Perhaps you could point me into the right direction?

The help file says, that I need to look in the plugin source code, but I do not know where. http://plugins.leewillis.co.uk/doc_post/adding-string-replacement/
I am doing this setup for at customer, could I get a free license to use at a later point?
Sincerely

ParticipantHi again Leah,
I have found the string in the source file, and hardcoded it there.
\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\views\month\single-day.php
Line: 48
Replace View All with Se alle
This works, until you fix it in an update 🙂
Still curious if I can get a license for later use though.
