MemberHi Marcia,
Thanks for getting in touch. The answer depends on how you collect info from your promoters and users, and what kind of export capabilities you need, so I’ll outline the various options that we have for you.
We have a plugin called Community Events which allows site visitors to submit their own events to your calendar. This might be a great way to collect information from users and promoters. You have control over the events on the backend of the site. You can learn more on the product page, and of course ask any questions here 🙂
The Events Calendar (our free core plugin) includes a .CSV importer for events, venues, and organizers. This may also help you collect information and add it to your site.
There are a few options for exporting the information as well. You can export individual events to Google Calendar and iCal. You can also export multiple events (for example, one category of events or one month’s events) to iCal as an .ics file. You can also export your WordPress database, which includes your Events Calendar information.
Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Thank you for your interest!

MemberHi Jane,
Not having your license key inputted on your site will not stop the plugin from working, but it does mean that you don’t get automatic updates on your site. You also need it to access our premium support forums. This forum is for unregistered users asking Pre-Sales questions. Since you have a valid license, you can post in our Events Calendar PRO forum 🙂
Your license key needs to be added to your site under Events –> Settings –> License Keys. If you need help, we have a video walkthrough here.
The next step is to further troubleshoot the issues you’re having. Please post in our Events Calendar PRO forum with more details about the problems you’re experiencing. A member of our support team can assist you from there.

MemberHi gregryhd,
The Countdown Widget is for one specific event, which you select on the backend of the site. The widget then counts down to that specific event, and will continue to display (with the completion text you enter) until you remove it from the widget area or change it to a different event. So if there are no upcoming events, you wouldn’t have this widget anyway. Does that make sense?
Here’s a screenshot showing the configuration on the backend:Â https://cloudup.com/cCbjRCXrjhx. Does that answer your question?

MemberHi chrisd2d,
Thanks for getting in touch. I really appreciate that you posted to double check on this.
There are no compatibility issues between Events Calendar PRO and WooCommerce Tickets- they work great together. The only issue is if people want different tickets on the different dates of a recurring event series, and that won’t be an issue in this situation. You can purchase with confidence 🙂

MemberHi kimco,
Thank you. The French translation is outdated, so you would need to update the .po/.mo files. Also, make sure that you update the existing French .po file with the latest .pot file, as intructed in the Getting Started post. You can find the updated .pot file there as well.

MemberHi kimco,
The translation string for Add to Cart was only recently added to the translation file for WooCommerce Tickets. I suspect that the language you are using has not yet been updated to include it. If your language wasn’t updated in yesterday’s 3.5 release, I’d love to have you update the translation for WooCommerce Tickets, including the Add to Cart string. If you’re interested, check out the Getting Started post in our Translations Forum where you’ll find the instructions and files you need.

MemberHi w3sights,
Thanks for getting in touch! I’d be happy to help out.
So first of all, the easiest way for you to update your Events Calendar PRO plugin would be to have your PRO license key entered under Events –> Settings. If your key is saved there, you’ll be able to do simple automatic updates, without having to re-download anything or deal with FTP. You can find your license key in your tri.be account at https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/license-keys/.
If you need to do a manual update as you described above, there’s just one extra step you’ll need to do. You actually need to go into your WordPress site folders and delete the folder called events-calendar-pro before uploading the new PRO 3.5 file. You shouldn’t lose any data, but we recommend that you backup before updating just in case. Once the file is uploaded, you can activate the plugin and enjoy the new 3.5 features!
If you have any trouble, just let me know and I’d be happy to help out.

MemberHi Vanessa,
Thanks for posting. We can’t directly exchange the license, but I’d be happy to give you a refund on Community Events so that you can buy a license for PRO. Please email us directly at pro /at/ tri.be and include a link to this thread and the receipt from this purchase. Then I can process that refund for you ASAP.

MemberHi Amber,
You may be able to customize the plugin enough to embed it in an iframe on the same site, but there is no way at this time to embed it in other sites or to have a calendar that syncs across multiple website. I’m sorry we can’t meet your needs there. Best of luck!
Cheers,

MemberHi digitalfarm,
Actually, the Pre-Sales Forum is only for non-paid users asking questions about our products, so I’ve gone ahead and moved your post to the WooCommerce Tickets forum 🙂
There isn’t a specific test mode for WooCommerce (or at least, I couldn’t find one!) but there are some handy ways to do test orders without needing to pay. Two ways that we use for our QA testing are to set up the Check and Bank Transfer payment gateways. Both of those rely on the customer sending in proof of payment and the admin then marks the payment as Complete, which processes it the rest of the way (a credit card or other immediate payment would skip that step).
For test orders, you (as the customer) can select Check or Bank Transfer as your payment method, and then you (as the admin) can mark that order Complete on the backend. Once the order is marked Complete, the tickets and confirmation will be sent to your user. Do note that local installs do not send the emails, so you’d need to be doing this on a hosted dev site to test that part.
Does that system work for you? You might also get in touch with the folks at WooCommerce to see if they have any suggestions for a test mode. But the above is our workflow for internal testing. Let me know if I can be of any further help!

MemberHi Amber,
Thanks for your interest in The Events Calendar. At this time, there is not a way to embed the calendar into other websites- it can only show on the calendar pages of the website where the plugin is installed. The post you mentioned is probably talking about using an iframe on the same site, which would be possible. Embedding the calendar, even in the same website, can be a complex customization, and I’m afraid I don’t have any examples available to show you. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more help here, but do let me know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Leah
