ParticipantHi Rick,
I’m glad the plugins are working well for you. Our pricing tiers don’t allow for the middle ground that you are looking for, but one solution would be to simply buy two Business licenses. Wouldn’t even cost as much as a Developer license and should cover all the sites you’ve mentioned.
Do you think that would work for you?

ParticipantHi Brian,
Sorry to disappoint, but that’s not something our Events Calendar plugin is designed to do. We can easily display them on a calendar grid, in a list, or a variety of other views that you can see demoed over at http://wpshindig.com/events/. But I don’t think any of them are very similar to what you’ve described.
You can always try out the free The Events Calendar plugin and see if that works for you, but several of the views are not available with that. Some of the, dare I say, nicer views are part of the premium Events Calendar PRO add-on.
I’m sorry if our plugins don’t meet your needs currently, but I don’t want to steer you wrong and have you be disappointed.
Let me know if you have any additional questions!

ParticipantJustin,
There are several options there. You can subscribe to our Products Blog (https://theeventscalendar.com/category/products/) or Tribe News Blog (https://theeventscalendar.com/category/tribe-news/) or connect with us on any of the various social networks. And there’s also the newsletter that you can sign up for at the bottom of the home page (https://theeventscalendar.com/).
I gotta think one of those would work for you, right?

ParticipantHi Christopher,
That really sounds like a database issue to me. Have you contacted your current hosting provider to see what they have to say about it? When I go out to your calendar today, I see lots of events through the next few months being displayed.
But you said the events were there before they made the comments and then disappeared, what, after they saved the comments? What comments? Where? I’m trying to figure out just what triggers the data loss.
Also, let me know if you’ve completed your move to a new server. That could change the game entirely.

ParticipantHi Neil,
Well, I’m biased, but I think the plugin looks ideal too. 🙂
But lets make sure it’s ideal for you. So…
1) Exactly. WooCommerce Tickets are WooCommerce products linked to events in the calendar. Manage them like any other WooCommerce product.
2) I don’t believe there is a way to add attendees from the admin side. I suppose if it were a free ticket, there’s nothing to stop you from doing it on the front end. Except you said payment link, so I’m guessing it’s not a free ticket. That is something I don’t think it could do. The tickets require payment when the order is placed. This part of the transaction is handled by WooCommerce though, so you might want to check with them on the specifics. There is an email that goes out with the order though.
3) You’re timing on this one is brilliant. Just today we wrote a blog post about a solution that just might fit your needs. It’s not built into the plugin, but works with it. https://theeventscalendar.com/follow-up-emails-plugin-integrates-with-woocommerce-tickets/
I hope I’ve answered your questions. Let me know if you have some more!

ParticipantHi Benjamin,
I’m not quite sure I understand your question, so you might have to help me here. You said “when a client books an event” which is not something our calendar plugin is designed to do. The plugin displays events on a calendar in several views, but it’s not a true booking solution.
Unless perhaps you were referring to our Community Events add-on which allows people to add events to your calendar? If that’s the case, you could block roles from accessing it, which could effectively limit it to members if your site is set up that way.
If by chance when you said “when a client books an event” you meant something more like purchased a ticket to an event, I don’t think that is something that could be limited to members only unless somehow the calendar itself was limited to members.
It is entirely possible that I’ve not answered your question. Please let me know what I’ve missed and if there’s anything else I can help you with.

ParticipantHi Debbie,
I’m sorry I didn’t answer your questions last time. Regarding the organizers, no, that is not something our plugins can do without customization. We are working on a filter bar that would do something to similar to what you are asking, but it doesn’t’ filter by organizer. It could probably be modified to do that, but that would be something you’d have to do yourself. You can see a preview of that here https://theeventscalendar.com/filter-bar-a-video-preview/ if you’d like to take a closer look.
Regarding the CSV import, I can’t tell you exactly when it will be released, but it’s coming very soon and you should have plenty of time to meet your January deadline.
Is there anything else I can answer?

ParticipantHi!
Sounds like you’ve got a lot of critical data there to gather, Ed. However, our WooCommerce Tickets plugin does not allow for that level of customization out of the box. Our plugin merely connects the WooCommerce system to events in our calendar, so any customization that you need around the actual ticket process would go through the WooCommerce plugin. Maybe you could look around and inquire at http://www.woothemes.com/woocommerce/ and see what they might say?
I’m sorry I can’t give you a direct answer here, but I can’t speak for that part of the process. If you have any questions regarding the calendar part of the solution, I’d be happy to answer those.

ParticipantYou’ll have to help me a bit Tim, but I don’t understand what issue you are having with the image on that page. When I go to the link you provided, the image looks to be working normal to me. What problem are you seeing?

ParticipantHi Christopher,
Is your new server also going to be Windows as well? I do know were are having ongoing difficulties with them. And thanks for sending your info, it’s not what I had in mind, but that’s because I forgot that you wouldn’t have access to that Help page if PRO wasn’t working.
And I am soooo sorry that you lost all your hard work entering those events. I have to think that’s another issues related to the Windows server. It sounds like a database problem. Can you tell me if that happened while you were updating existing recurring events? At least that’s a bug we’ve seen before.
Can I be so bold to encourage you to move to a Linux server? 🙂
