ParticipantHi limmengwei,
Great question! I do want to be clear that currently the feature is a calendar exporter that can be used to import events into other calendars. It is NOT an synchronizer or subscription feature. Users will not get automatics updates.
This is however a feature that has been mentioned frequently on our Feature Ideas site (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3777092-enable-calendar-synchronisation) and is something we are working on, but there’s no ETA on a release date for it yet.

ParticipantHi BC,
I’m not sure if we’re exactly what you are looking for. I believe you are referring to the ticketing solutions and not Events Calendar PRO itself. The ticketing solutions do allow you to buy multiples of tickets (like 5 tickets for an event), but there is little information that is collected in that process – simply one name and email address and that’s it. It is possible to have various age groups, with different prices, for the tickets. You might want to take a look at the New User Primer to see exactly how WooCommerce Tickets works, as an example. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/wootickets-new-user-primer/
And since you used the word “booking” I want to be sure to point out that the ticketing solutions are a straightforward ticketing solution and not a comprehensive event management tool. Our plugins may not have all the features you might be looking for in a booking solution.

ParticipantHi robpoole,
Looks like you meant this for the PRO forum rather than the Pre-Sales forum. I’ll move it over there to get you the assistance you are looking for.

ParticipantHi efromdc,
Actually, thanks for opening a separate thread on this, but I’ll just repeat what I said on the other one:
Thank you for digging into that. Looks like Facebook may have implemented another change. The cover image elements of the Facebook API haven’t always been “official” and certainly not in the official API docs. We chose to go with what was guaranteed to work at the time we were working on that feature. I’ll open a ticket to have the dev team revisit the issue to see what’s different and what they think is best moving forward. We’ll let you know when they’ve got an answer.
Hang tight!

ParticipantHi agruden,
The time difference seems to to something specific to your setup. We can’t seem to replicate it here. The three places to check for timezone differences would be the WordPress settings (which I believe you did), the computer settings (which aren’t likely to be the culprit), and the server settings. Have you looked at the server settings by chance? Other than that, I really don’t know what could be causing the issue.
As far as the importing issue goes, have you tried importing any fresh Facebook events? I mean it seems we keep trying to import the same ones and maybe there’s just some bad stuff lying about specific to those events. Can you create another event or just try to import from some other Facebook page to see if you have the same problems with those? Have any new events been added to the FerretAssocationofConnecticut calendar since we’ve started working on this? Just looking for some fresh event data to test.

ParticipantHi sosayweall,
Okay, I tested it again and It seems to be working for me. Can I ask where you are importing from? I mean, there are actually two places that you can import Facebook events from using the plugin.
- The first is under Events > Import: Facebook, where usually it’s a one-time, per-event import and you would enter an event ID such as 722316697786575.
- The other is under Events > Settings > Facebook, where you would enter the name of the group such as SoSayWeAllOnline.
Which of those have you been using?
But before we dig deeper, let’s go back and verify that you’ve disabled all the other plugins and reverted back to the Twenty Twelve theme and are using a non-UTC time zone. No difference?
Does that make sense? Let me know what happens.

ParticipantHi agruden,
You’ve really got the team stumped on this one. It seems to be working fine for us (and three of us have tested it now), but can I ask where you are importing from? I mean, there are actually two places that you can import Facebook events from using the plugin.
• The first is under Events > Import: Facebook, where usually it’s a one-time, per-event import and you would enter an event ID such as 703577889661553.
• The other is under Events > Settings > Facebook, where you would enter the name of the group such as FerretAssociationOfConnecticut.
Which of those have you been using? But to dig deeper, let’s go back and verify that you’ve disabled all the other plugins and reverted back to the Twenty Twelve theme and are using a non-UTC time zone. No difference?
(This is where I caution to make a backup of your site.)
If that didn’t work, take note of your Facebook App ID and App secret and then let’s deactivate and delete the Facebook Importer plugin and re-download it from the website here (you can find it and your license key under Account Central in the top right menu) just in case it’s corrupted. Then re-install it and enter the organization name on the Events > Settings > Facebook page and be sure the interval is set to Daily. Save that and then you should be able to go to Events > Import: Facebook and check the boxes there to bring in the events immediately.
Does that make sense? Let me know what happens.

ParticipantHi phillipp,
I’m sorry you got a bit lost along the way. Christopher is right (thanks Christopher!), our New User Primer is probably just what you are looking for https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/wootickets-new-user-primer/. There are additional resources too over at the Tutorials page https://tri.be/the-events-calendar-for-wordpress-tutorials/.
If you need further assistance, please feel free to ask.

ParticipantHi again nocturnal,
Whew, that’s a list! I do see some that could possibly be of interest. Would it be too much trouble to clone the site and try deactivating them one by one and seeing if any of them make a difference? And at some point it would be good to deactivate all of them and revert to the Twenty Twelve theme just to check for that too. We’re looking to isolate any conflicts with other plugins or the theme itself.
Let me know how that goes.

ParticipantHi Debbie,
Since you already have a copy of the plugin and this is the Pre-Sales forum, can I request that you ask your questions over on the Events Calendar PRO forum?
— Julie
Julie Kuehl
ParticipantHi James,
The plugin is not designed for multiple calendars. It may be possible to customize the plugin and/or your theme to make that happen, but that’s not something it can do out of the box and would take some developer skills to accomplish.

ParticipantHi James,
I’m sorry your having some troubles with the plugin, but part of the free-for-non-profits deal was that there was no support included. You could try looking for a solution on the site here or asking your question on the WordPress.org forum (http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar). Or if you really need some assistance, we’d ask that you purchase a copy of the plugin and then you’d have full access to the support forums here.
I hope you understand.
— Julie
(Hint: There’s a version 3.4 that you might want to ask for.)

ParticipantHi again,
It’s importing as expected on my local install. I missed that it’s actually a two day event on Facebook. So now we need to figure out why it’s not working on your setup. Have you tried deleting the events and re-importing them after setting it to a daily import?
