ParticipantHey,
Sorry for the delayed response here.
I did some testing and using “tribe_get_events” I was able to successfully get the recurring events to display in the results. A couple of more suggestions here:
- Verify that the global setting for limiting recurring event instances isn’t checked (https://cloudup.com/cZI9cKBsuOA)
- Try removing the start, end, and tax query arguments and see if that helps. If that works, you can debug by replacing each until the issue comes back. Unfortunately, even with the expanded snippet there are still variables that are used yet defined outside of the scope of the snippet.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Alison,
I went back and looked at version 3.12.x of our core plugin and the CSV importer and reviewing the code there, it looks like it still has the same title, start date, end date check that would cause the events to be updated rather than created.
I then noticed that your site currently has Events Calendar Pro at version 3.10.1 however, it appears based on your system info that you had updated to the latest versions of the plugin previously. Is this accurate? If so, was the import the reason you reverted back to the older version of the plugin? I don’t think this is the reason for the import troubles here, but having mismatched versions of Pro and the main Events Calendar plugin would most likely have some broken features across the site. In this case, there are items that are part of the import that do get filtered in Pro so there could be some misfiring there with the mismatched versions.
Anyway, I did check the importer for version 3.10 of the core plugin and again saw the same check for whether or not to create or update a new entry using the Title, Start & EndDate.
Out of curiosity as well, do you happen to have an older CSV from when the import worked as expected previously?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Lizzy,
It sounds like you can use our core Events Calendar plugin, our Event Tickets plugin along with Event Tickets Plus, and the Event Calendar Category Colors plugin to get everything you describe above.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Maria,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
It sounds like there is a conflict with other code on the site. Can you try leaving the core Events Calendar plugin and the PRO plugin activated and deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default theme? From there see if the issues described here persist.
If not, reactivate each plugin one by one until you find where the conflict is occurring. From there we can dig in a little further to see what the conflict may be.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Ryan,
Take a look at this gist:
https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/ab1f7c4d95723ee6f892
This allows the feed to export a years worth of events. You can modify it to export any timeframe that you would like.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey!
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’m sorry to see you’re having issues in using our plugins.
As an initial test, have you tried following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a conflict with an existing plugin or theme?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Tomasz,
Unfortunately we are unable to provide support for the premium plugins here in the pre-sales forum. I apologize for the inconvenience however you’ll need an active license to post in the appropriate forum.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. If you have any pre-sales questions we’d be happy to answer here or if you have any questions regarding our free core plugin you can reach out on our forums on WordPress.org.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Keith,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Unfortunately there isn’t a built-in way to resync all the events at a single time. If this happens to be a common issue for the events that feed into your site, you could try setting a schedule for deleting all the events and then re-importing them once a week.
I know it’s not the best solution, however it wouldn’t take long and would be a lot easier than checking each event individually.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct response here but hopefully it helps to get you pointed in the right direction.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Josiah,
No problem. Happy to help.
Also, this does sound like a good idea! I’ll pass it along to our team to see if it makes sense to include this in an upcoming release schedule.

March 9, 2016 at 5:10 pm in reply to: [tribe_events_list] / [display-posts] shortcode: how to show the last past event #1086919Josh
ParticipantHey Philippe,
Unfortunately I don’t believe there is a simpler way to approach or a built-in way using the list shortcode like that. You could try adding eventDisplay=”past” to see if the compiled arguments do impact the query. I don’t believe it will work, but if it does it would be the simplest approach outside of custom loop.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Stefan,
Unfortunately this shortcode isn’t a part of our plugin code and is built into your current theme. The best approach for customizing the output of the shortcode would be to reach out to the theme developer for information on customizing.
I apologize I wasn’t able to give you a direct answer on this one but hopefully it helps to get you pointed in the right direction.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Chris,
I apologize for the confusion there with my last response.
A couple of other potential (but rare) issues could be at play here:
- Verify that that both 162.243.159.176 and 50.116.28.27 IP addresses are whitelisted with your current hosting provider. If not, your site wouldn’t be able to communicate with our server and wouldn’t be able to access the update.
- Check your wp-config.php file and ensure that “TRIBE_DISABLE_PUE” constant hasn’t been added to prevent access to the automatic updates.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Renan,
Sorry for the delayed response here.
If these were modified versions of the translation files, they’ll need to be re-added after updating. Are you saying now that you’re unable to translate the files now?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Benjamin,
I apologize for the delay here.
I did some testing with the Event List shortcode and with all the tests, the arguments that I passed with the shortcode were respected and displayed on the front-end as expected.
Were there any other updates or new plugins that were added around the same time of the latest event calendar update that could potentially be conflicting here?
Thanks!
