ParticipantHey Helen,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
You’re safe to update to the latest versions of all the plugins. For all active plugins, the matching version numbers apply for something like “4.1.x” applies to the first two numbers there. We update all active plugins together at that level. However, the third number there is for maintenance releases and bug fixes and not every plugin will require those so we don’t update all of them to match at that level.
However, the best approach will always be to have all plugins updated to the latest versions.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Conor,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
As an initial step here, have you tried re-saving your permalinks under the Settings > Permalinks tab within your WordPress dashboard to see if that addresses the issue here?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Deanna,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
How are the events currently being added to your homepage? Can you control the number of events that show up there?
Adding the ability to scroll can be handled pretty easily with a couple of CSS changes. To do that, you’ll just need to target the wrapper that contains the events in CSS and add a set height and “overflow: scroll-y” to that element. If you provide me with a link to your site, I can give you a set snippet that you can add to your child theme’s stylesheet.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Jason,
Awesome! You can find the new translation options for Japanese available here http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects/tribe-events-community/ja/default.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Michiel,
It’s been a while since we’ve heard from you.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to open a new one.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Brian,
I see where I misunderstood here. We have a way to collect attendee information via our plugin using the “Ticket Fieldset” options. I assumed you were using both those options as well as the Checkout Fields Manager. But the issue here as that on the checkout page, the checkout Fields Manager plugin isn’t displaying the same number of fieldsets as there are tickets?
An alternative would be to use the Ticket Fieldset options available with our plugin and collect the additional information that way. You can read more about that here.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Phillip,
To clarify on your original post, the issue with the category checkboxes is happening for all users visiting that page and not just anonymous users?
I’m testing on my local install and I’m not able to currently replicate the issue with the latest versions of the plugins.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey David,
Thanks for providing that link. I’m getting a similar error when attempting to import that file as well. As an initial step though, to ensure we’re both looking at the same thing, can you verify whether or not you’re able to find events when attempting to import http://wpshindig.com/events/?ical
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Greg,
Thanks for following up here!
How about the final portion of Brook’s suggestion above? Did you try re-creating the event rather than updating the existing one with all the plugins deactivated and default theme activated?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Mat,
Thanks for reaching out!
I took a look at the previous thread as well as the associated ticket internally that was created based on this particular issue.
Unfortunately there hasn’t been any forward momentum on this one from a development perspective. It’s an extremely rare scenario and any resolution we do pursue could still cause the same issues for larger venue counts on WP Engine hosting in this scenario.
I know it isn’t the news you were wanting to hear, however we do still have the ticket open and as we do pursue addressing this one you’ll be notified on your original thread.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey David,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Would you mind sending a link to the calendar that you’re trying to import so I can do some testing locally?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Joseph,
That’s understandable and a great suggestion! We can log it on our UserVoice page for consideration for future development.
You can request a refund by sending a copy of your original receipt to support[at]theeventscalendar.com. I’m sorry it didn’t work out on this one but hopefully our plugins will be a good fit on a future project.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Brian,
I might be misunderstanding the root problem here. If you disable the Checkout Fields Manager plugin from Easy Digital Downloads you aren’t able to see the “Ticket Fieldset” fields you created in our plugin on the event page? These would show on the event page after selecting a number of tickets but prior to adding those to the cart.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Phillip,
For that one, have you tried following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a conflict happening here with another plugin or theme? This may help us to narrow in on potentially what’s happening with that part of the form.
Thanks!
