ParticipantHey ariddle!
Brook requested I help with the Safari testing of this issue. I looked at the last link you provided (http://lfcc.edu/events/) and noticed the issue you described with Safari. However, I noticed a javascript error and tested with other browsers and noticed that it didn’t work in any browser that I tested. Additionally, I tested on my default local install and wasn’t able to replicate the issue.
If you wouldn’t mind, could you verify that you have completed our Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure that there isn’t a plugin or theme conflict causing the issue? Also, if you have a cache plugin installed, try disabling and purging the cache prior to deactivating the plugin to ensure the issue doesn’t persist with everything deactivated and a default theme installed.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey David,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I’m sorry, I’m not sure I’m following the exact issue you’re having. Could you give some more detail on which previous events you’re seeing the issue with? Are they not showing up within your main calendar feed? Or, while on a single event view, are you not seeing the navigation at the bottom to see the older events?
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Daniel,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Definitely sounds like a strange issue to be having. I tested with my local install to ensure this wasn’t an issue related to our plugin but wasn’t able to reproduce the issue.
There are some plugins (and potentially a setting within the theme) that allow you to manually control what metaboxes show on post types. One common one that comes to mind is Advanced Custom Fields which allows, when setting custom fields for a post type, to select other elements to exclude from the page.
To test for this you can follow our Testing for Conflicts procedures to help in determining whether it is the theme or plugin causing the issue. Beyond that, there isn’t a whole lot of support we can provide for plugin/theme conflicts. If there is something that the theme developer believes we’re breaking WordPress best practices with, we’re more than happy to investigate and correct.
I apologize for the inconvenience. Let me know if the other suggestion above helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Nancie,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
We have a setting which allows you to select to allow you to show your events within your main blog loop. You can find that setting under the Event settings “General” tab (https://cloudup.com/cHgmHP-Seoo).
If you have a custom query that you’re using, you would add the ‘tribe_events’ to the “post_type” arg for the WP_Query. You can find out more about that here.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey wickedsimple,
That’s definitely a strange issue to see. Could you try updating again to ensure there wasn’t a temporary disturbance that caused it?
In the meantime, you could download the latest versions directly from your account on here. You could then upload them to your site’s plugins folder via FTP.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Maria,
I’m sorry those suggestions didn’t help. Unfortunately with a theme conflict there isn’t too much support we can provide. If you would like, you can send me the URL and I can take a glance to see if something stands out as a potential issue but I can’t promise too much with that.
I hope this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
