ParticipantHey Lisa,
Sorry for the confusion. You’ll need to create the “tribe-events/pro” folders within your theme (preferably within a child theme which will allow you to continue to do automatic updates of your theme and plugins without worrying about losing customizations) and add your customizations there.
So, like you describe, here you can add a file titled “tribe-events-pro.css” and add css styles there. Additionally, if you would like to add the markup to the default events template, you can copy the “default-template.php” file from within the “views” folder of the core Events Calendar plugin (not the PRO plugin) and paste it into this new “tribe-events” folder in your theme and make the customizations there. So with this, you’ll have a folder structure added to your theme which looks like https://cloudup.com/cyI7G7VqzVA.
We are looking into expanding the shortcodes that are available within our plugin. If you would like, you can vote for this feature on our UserVoice page and you’ll be notified there as we make progress on these.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Ameet,
Awesome! I’m glad you were able to find the root of the problem here!
I’m not seeing the issue now, but if I recall correctly I believe the error was a call to a stylesheet within a “tribe-events” folder in your theme that no longer existed.
Let me know if you need anything else on this issue.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
Haven’t seen direct confirmation yet. The best thing to do is go ahead and purchase the plugin. If it doesn’t work, you can take advantage of our 30 day refund policy and get a refund on the plugin if you would like.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Lisa,
Thanks for following up. I apologize for the delay, we typically don’t answer support threads over the weekend.
Since, the page is designed within a “page” edit screen, it isn’t something that is able to be directly applied to the Event Calendar view.
You could go with your stated approach above by following our Themer’s Guide and creating a new “tribe-events” folder within your theme. You could then copy the “default-template.php” file into your theme and add the code you have pasted above. This will apply to every calendar view. From here, you can add conditionals around the chosen image and title so you can change what image and text gets displayed on which page. Here is a list of conditionals within context of how they can be used for the different views https://gist.github.com/jo-snips/2415009.
Modifications to the default template (either through this method or through hooks and filters added within their theme) would have been the way the example site you mention above would have gotten their custom layout.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey David,
Thanks for following up with us!
Sounds like you’ve gotten it working now? It sounds like this is a plugin issue to some degree. There potentially may be a plugin that runs some purging and flushing of rewrite rules on activation/deactivation that may be causing itself to work out the issue when activate/deactivate.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Jerod,
I just took a look at your site and it looks like the links for Eventbrite are manually added to the event content? Events are then manually added into Eventbrite as well I imagine?
If this is the case, you shouldn’t have an issue just removing the cost from the event details within WordPress and just added the cost terms at the top of the event description area. This wouldn’t impact the Eventbrite links that are added further down in the content.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Shah,
No problem. Yes, this will need to go in your theme, so if that’s the Avada theme (or a child of the Avada theme) it should go there rather than in our plugin files.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Mark,
For this you could use our event list widget. In our upcoming release we will have more shortcodes that will allow you to add more than just the mini calendar widget via shortcode. This could be used as well.
Finally, you could also do an old-fashioned query within a template file and use “tribe_get_events()” to build the list of events yourself.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Also, we do request that you open a new thread in the future. Even if an existing thread is similar, this allows us to address each customer fully and directly without having to balance between slightly different issues.

ParticipantHey,
Thanks for following up with us.
This is definitely a strange issue to be having and one that I’m unfortunately unable to replicate myself locally ( the events not showing on the calendar and the date resetting after saving).
When following the Testing for Conflicts procedures, did you deactivate all other plugins, reset to a default theme and clear your cache all at the same time before retesting?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantPaddy,
Thanks for reaching out! Please open a new ticket so we can address your question directly within your own thread.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Caroline,
Thanks for following up and providing additional information!
So even when purchasing tickets, the transactions are being completed and the purchase emails are being sent to the user but the tickets aren’t being sent?
I’ll do some tests on my local install to see if I can reproduce the issue that you’re experiencing.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Lisa,
Thanks for following up.
So the page builder is on the actual page edit screen? If this is the case, there really isn’t a straightforward way to be able to add the customizations to the events template.
An alternative would be to create an “Events” page and then add the [tribe_mini_calendar] shortcode to the page.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
That’s definitely strange. The file structure you’ve stated (tribe-events > pro > widgets > modules > single-event.php) looks right. A couple of suggestions that may help diagnose:
- Ensure that this has been added to the appropriate theme folder. Ensure it is within the active theme for your site.
- Ensure that the titles of each of the folders is spelled properly without any unintentional misspellings or typos.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey George,
Thanks for following up and that’s definitely not desirable! I renamed the thread and removed the client’s website name from the title and slug. This should help to keep it from maintaining that position in search results.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I apologize for the issues you’re experiencing when using our plugin. When creating events, are they not showing up just on the front-end of the site or are they not showing up within your WordPress dashboard either?
As a starting point, have you tried following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure this isn’t a conflict with an existing theme or plugin?
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
