ParticipantHey Ian,
No problem. I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to open a new topic.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey,
Thanks for following up and providing the snippet!
I tested out your snippet and was able to see the new message when creating and editing events (https://cloudup.com/cGofCVqTxN8). However, I also tested updating a venue with this snippet active and I’m still able to see the traditional “Venue Updated” message on update (https://cloudup.com/cyZSO3I5Rdg).
Are you sure there aren’t any other snippets in place that may be conflicting with that message?
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Davis,
Thanks for following up!
We just noticed a typo in our documentation that has just been updated. The shortcode for the list is [tirbe_events_list] rather than just “event”.
Try that and see if it gives the results you’re expecting. I apologize for my confusion on the original issue.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
Thanks for trying those couple of things and following up with us!
So, it sounds like there may be some sort of javascript conflict with the enhanced select boxes used there on the event edit screen for the Venue/Organizer (also used for the Country select within the Venue settings. Does that show the same list issue as well?).
If you access this edit page while using chrome, you can try opening developer tools and see if there are any javascript errors being displayed on the page. If so, this will help to point out where the conflict may be occurring.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
Thanks for providing those screen grabs! What I would actually like to see is an extension of your first screenshot you sent of Eventbrite details. If you click on “key details” you’ll be taken to a screen that looks like https://cloudup.com/cXFRY4boSWe.
Could you send me the screenshot of the information on that page for the current site?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Lisa,
The structure you describe sounds like it’s right.
If you don’t mind, could you create a gist of the entire code that you currently have within your new default-template.php file and paste the link here?
Also, ensure that within your Event Settings > Display tab that the events template is currently set as the default events template https://cloudup.com/cNhiWlyhS3n rather than a default page template.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Caroline,
Just wanted to follow up after doing several tests on the email delivery of tickets.
After several tests I was consistently getting both the order receipt as well as the ticket to the email address associated with the purchase https://cloudup.com/cqmUlxR5Dcc. To clarify, when you said you were receiving the WooCommerce email, you were referring to the customer email notifying that the order was complete and not the admin email notifying a new customer order?
Thanks!

Unfortunately, the Community Events plugin is a separate plugin and access to those features isn’t available within the PRO plugin.
I apologize for the confusion, if you would like to “switch” your purchase you can send an email to support[at]theeventscalendar.com and a solution can be worked out for you there.
Thanks!

I apologize for the inconveniences you experienced when trying to purchase our plugin. I’ll reach out to our team for help in reviewing this on our site. As a test though, would you mind retrying today to see if this was a temporary issue?
In the meantime, please send an email to support[at]theeventscalendar.com with a link to this thread. We can get you copies of the plugins you’re wanting. Then, once the payment situation is sorted out you’ll be able to get a full account with access to updates and support.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh

I’m limited on the support I can give for customizations such as this but hopefully I can help to get you pointed in a good direction.
This is definitely an interesting problem. Would it be acceptable in this scenario for the view all events link to be a toggle that shows the additional events? If so, you could accomplish this by modifying the archive template for the event categories to have two queries. The first for the first 3 events and the second, with an offset, for the remaining events. This way you could create the functionality for all the event categories by modifying just a single template file.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

You should be able to import most any event from Facebook into WordPress using our plugin. There are some limitations though such as age restricted pages. If you do have concern, the best thing to do would be to purchase the plugin to test. If it doesn’t meet your needs, you can get a refund within 30 days of your purchase.
Also, the syncing is currently only one way. So you can import events from Facebook manually or automatically however you can’t create the events in WordPress and then have those events push to Facebook.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

When making the updates and clicking “Update Venue” do the changes you made persist when you go back to look at an event associated with the Venue or when viewing the venue within your dashboard?
Additionally, I just tested this on my local install and upon updating I receive a notice at the top of the page that looks like https://cloudup.com/ckZfow-ht_E.
Have you tried following the Testing for Conflicts procedures to see if there are any conflicts that may be preventing the venue from updating or the notices to not display.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

It sounds like you may be interested in our Filter Bar plugin. With this, users can select the different categories/tags to filter events. Additionally, you could use the unique URLs created when filtering to generate links directly to archives that are pre-filtered to the combination of categories and tags that you’re wanting to display.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

This definitely sounds like a strange issue, hopefully we can help to get you pointed in the right direction for a solution quickly.
To clarify:
- Are all dropdowns associated with The Events Calendar having this issue? Such as those on the single edit screen (saved venues or organizers) as well as those within the Event Settings tabs?
- Are other screens in your admin area not associated with Events Calendar showing the same issue with dropdowns?
The initial step with any of these types of issue is to request that you do start with following the Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure that there isn’t a theme or plugin conflict at play here. Even though there may not have been any updates or new plugins added, there could have been a setting changed that deactivating still helps us in narrowing down the issue.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
That could potentially be an issue but first, would you mind pasting a screenshot of the settings used (URLs, oAuth, etc) when creating your App key? I’m curious if there is a misformatted URL or something that could be prompting this error.
Thanks!
