GuestHi. I know that when you install the Events Calendar, it creates an events page on the site. I’m wondering if there is anyway to publish a list of upcoming events (ideally sorted by type) on other areas of your website – sidebar, other pages, etc.

ParticipantHey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
We do have widgets available that allow you to add a mini-calendar or an event list in any widgetized area of your site. Additionally, in version 3.9 we released the ability to add some of these widgets anywhere on your site using a shortcode such as [tribe_mini_calendar]. Unfortunately, there isn’t a shortcode to recreate the full calendar onto other pages of the site.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

GuestThe question was about displaying an event, or an evemt list, not the entire calendar. I assume there is no way of displaying the latest event, for example?

ParticipantHey Mark,
For this you could use our event list widget. In our upcoming release we will have more shortcodes that will allow you to add more than just the mini calendar widget via shortcode. This could be used as well.
Finally, you could also do an old-fashioned query within a template file and use “tribe_get_events()” to build the list of events yourself.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Also, we do request that you open a new thread in the future. Even if an existing thread is similar, this allows us to address each customer fully and directly without having to balance between slightly different issues.

GuestHi. I’m my theme I’m using visual composer plugin. Is there a way to use your plugin with visual composer?
I don’t understand how use your widget, I need to show a list of upcoming events on a page body.
How to achive that?June 23, 2015 at 9:35 am #972252Josh
ParticipantHey Ricardo,
You can take a look at some of the newly available shortcodes for our plugin here. These should work with Visual Composer, if you have issues with it please open a new thread.
Since it’s been a while since we heard from our original poster here, LC, I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to open a new thread.
Thanks!
