ParticipantHey Yann,
I apologize for the delay here. Let me dig into this one a bit further and I’ll get back to you shortly.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
Would you mind opening new support threads for each of your requests? This will ensure that we’re able to address each user directly.
As a test though, it sounds like this could potentially be a cache related issue. Try purging your cache after updating the translation file and re-uploading it into the languages folder within our plugin to see if that helps.
If not, please open a new thread for your support requests.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
Would you guys mind opening new threads in the forum? This will allow us to answer each of your questions directly and fully. Similar issues can have a wide variety of causes and solutions and since both of your issues are different from our original poster here, we don’t want to bombard Markus with a bunch of emails that aren’t related to his problem here.
Additionally it looks like both of your sites are experiencing different issues at the moment with one persons page going to a 4o4 and another showing a PHP error.
So, please open a new thread for each of your questions and we’ll be happy to work through these issues directly.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Sean,
Thanks for following up on that one!
It sounds like you should be able to upgrade to version 3.12 of our plugin now and switch your date settings back to your preferred format. There was a bug around different date formats in the last release that was addressed in 3.12.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Joseph,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I just tested this out with our latest versions and wasn’t able to recreate the issue. When setting the featured image, are you adding the image you would like to see for the ticket as the product image on the new ticket product that gets created within “Products” section under WooCommerce or are you adding it as the featured image for the event?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I tested this issue and was able to replicate the experience y’all are having. I created an internal bug ticket for tracking this issue. You’ll be notified here as we make progress on this issue.
I apologize for any inconvenience.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Norine,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
A couple of questions to help us in diagnosing the problem:
- To start, have you tried following the Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a conflict occurring with an existing plugin or theme?
- Can you paste, in a private reply the System Information that can be found within the “Help” tab within the Event Settings?
- Can you also take a screenshot of the event settings (dates and times) that you’re using when creating the event?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Noah,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Our post types for venues, organizers, and events are setup like any other post type using “register_post_type” function.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide support within our Pre-Sales Forum here. For further assistance, we would appreciate it if you reached out on our PRO forum if you’re an existing customer. If not, you can reach out for some assistance on our forums at WordPress.org.

ParticipantHey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I tested this a couple of different ways and was able to recreate the issue you’re describing every time. I’ve created a new bug report to track this issue internally and get it resolved in an upcoming release.
I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and hopefully we can get this squared away in a timely manner. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
I’m terribly sorry for the delay here! My previous message must not have posted like I thought it did.
I did some testing with both The Events Calendar and the Event Espresso plugins and wasn’t able to replicate so I’m not sure if the event espresso core is what’s at conflict here.
Actually, taking a look at your site again now, it looks like the events page is back up and running for you! https://www.jackscomplianceresource.com/compliance-calendar/. Did you recently complete the upgrade to version 3.12 of our plugin?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Casey,
If that is your complete functions.php file, you can add the snippet from here (excluding the opening “<?php”) to the very bottom of your file.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey David,
Thanks for following up with us!
I did a little research and found this line about the language directory:
WordPress checks if there are translation is in plugin/theme and if not then it will load the translation from WordPress language directory.
By this, it sounds like you may need to delete the translation file from our plugin after moving it to the languages folder. If not, it will always load ours first.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Yann,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Try giving this snippet a go to see if it does what you’re looking for? You can add this into your theme (or preferably your child theme’s) functions.php file.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks
Josh
ParticipantHey David,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Are you generating custom translation files based on the ones that we have available via http://translations.theeventscalendar.com? Also, is it all instances of the word “Upcoming” that are being skipped or is it happening in a single location?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
No problem! Glad this was able to get cleared up for ya!
I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to open a new thread.
Thanks!
